Chinese Medicine Quality Control Methods

Fingerprint graph research is the key question to the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, which could be considered as quality control method to TCM. The main content of this paper were as followed: studying the fingerprint graph of salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. that inhabiting in Shanxi Province and Shangiuo area by HPLC; establishing HPLC fingerprint graph for fat-soluble and water-soluble constituents of radix salviae miltiorrhizae; studying the fingerprint graph of angelica sinensis (Liv.) that inhabiting in Min County, Gansu Province; setting up HPLC fingerprint graph of radix angelicae sinesis. On the basis of the aboved fingerprint graphs, we were carrying out the study of technologic process and quality standard of radix salviae miltiorrhizae compound preparation; establishing technological process through determining pharmacologycal activity and detecting the content of major chemical components; founding quality standard of radix salviae miltiorrhizae compound preparation in which we took tanshinone IIA and salviol as double indexes, which would provided the quality control method to radix salviae miltiorrhizae and its compound preparation.
