Objective:To discuss the clinical efficacy of the treatment of nerve deafness with Electroacupuncture(EA).Method:60 patients (85 ears) of nerve deafness selected were randomly divided into the EA treatment group.30 patients, and the comparison group,30 patients. The EA treatment group selected the main points Baihui, Shenting, Wangu, Tinggong, Shangguan, Waiguan, and connected to EA G6805-â…¡-type instrument, with continuous-wave; the comparison group compounded Danshen injection 16ml, ATP & P (ATP) 60mg and coenzyme A100u in 5% glucose injection 250ml in the intravenous drip. We used two indicators, the pure tone audiometry and the Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) audiometry, to observe the relationship between Acupuncture effection and different injury levels of hearing.Results:1.Through the clinical comparison between the EA group and the control group with the pure tone audiometry, after Ridit analysis, there was a significant difference (P<0.01), this show that the EA group superior than the comparison group obviously;2.The EA at all levels of hearing loss in patients with acupuncture for hearing have different degrees of improvement. The patients of Hearing Levelâ… (mild) andâ…¡(moderate) loss compared between after treatment and before treatment, have significant differences (P<0.01), the patients of Hearing Levelâ…¢(severe) loss compared between after treatment and before treatment, have the differences which was not statistically significant (P> 0.05);3.The two methods, EA and western medicine treatment, for patients with nerve deafness at all levels have vary degrees of improvement. In the patients of Hearing Levelâ… (mild) andâ…¡(moderate) loss, the EA group superior than the comparison group, there were significant differences (P<0.01). The Gradeâ…¢(severe) hearing loss in patients with EA compared with the control group, the difference was not significant (P> 0.05);4.The I wave latency of the EA group and the comparison group compared with the normal latency, there were despite differences, but no statistical significance (P> 0.05). The wave V latency and IV interval were longer than the normal group, and had significant differences (P<0.01). The EA group compared with the comparison group, had no significant difference (P> 0.05), therefore, randomization group consisted with the principle of comparability;5.The EA group before and after treatment between ABR wave test of the spread, the difference was significant (P<0.05), that EA tested acupuncture can reduce the ABR wave latencies and inter-wave period, and improve hearing in patients with nerve deafness.6.The situation ABR test of the EA group and the comparison group after treatment had significantly differences (P<0.05), That the EA group in improving hearing in patients with sensorineural hearing loss was better than the comparison group.Conclusion:1.The EA treatment of nerve deafness related to hearing loss closely, and the Mild and moderate hearing loss in patients were significantly better than patients with severe losses. So to seize the opportunity was the basis and guarantee to the treatment of this disease.2.Electroacupuncture can effectively shorten the ABR I, V wave latency, IV between the wave period. That acupuncture can restore the electrical activity which came from auditory nerve damage and loss of hair cells, and lift barriers of the transmission of nerve impulses, and increase the Listening of the patient.3.The EA treatment of nerve deafness had clinical satisfaction, this EA treatment for the hearing nerve deafness nerve function improved significantly, and it was a green, safe, convenient and effective method of treatment.
