Institutional entrepreneurship refers to individuals or organizations which use a variety of resources to create the basis for institutional change in the recognition of their own opportunities to developments and benefits when the improvement of existing institutions or creation of new institutions occurs. By the means of rule cognitive construction, value and belief guidance and behavior model development, their target insititutions will be supported by the majority of the members within the organization field and obtain legal status eventually, thus to start a new career. Under the background of comprehensively deepen reform, every fields of Chinese society is in a profound transformation period. With the transformation and upgrading of economic and social aspects, some old institutions inevitably no longer adapt to requirements of new developments. All these will involve some blank fields of the current institution and raise a great number of opportunities for institutional entrepreneurship. The universities’ institutional entrepreneurship education is not only an important complement to the universities’ moral education, but also the deepening and extension to the universities’ innovation and entrepreneurship education.The promotion and operation of universities’ institutional entrepreneurship education will help students understand the process of institutional entrepreneurship, set up their awareness and cultivate their abilities of institutional entrepreneurship, in order to help them fully understand, actively lead or participate in the institutional entrepreneurship of every field with proper value and goal orientation. Thus to promote and implement institutional entrepreneurship education is the crucial transformation for higher education’s better service to the economic and social development.Institutional entrepreneurship education pattern and operation mechanism of universities are the cores to this research. The research first gives scientific definitions to concepts such as institution, entrepreneurship, institutional entrepreneurship and institutional entrepreneurship education which are closely related to this research, and analyzes the connotation of each concept. Then the research presents and analyzes higher education and institutional change theories which are related to the study, expounds the theoretical basis of the trend of the contemporary higher education, the institution structure and operation mechanism in the theory of higher education. It also expounds the theoretical basis of the subject, motivation, path dependence of institutional change and the related ideas of Marxist institutional change. Based on the study of related concepts and theories of university institutional entrepreneurship education, the research takes institutional entrepreneurship process and ability structure of institutional entrepreneurship as breakthrough points, gives us a comprehensive analysis of institutional entrepreneurs’ behavior characteristics, ability structure and strategies in the process of institutional entrepreneurship. Through case analysis, researcher explores the ability structure of institutional entrepreneurs which includes special abilities on value level, management level and social work level of institutional entrepreneurs and general abilities in aspects of information acquisition, innovation, professional technology and teamwork.This research further studies the relationship among university institutional entrepreneurship education, moral education and innovation and entrepreneurship education, analyzes the function orientation of university institutional entrepreneurship education in higher education, studies the thoughts and goals of Marxist education and socialism education with Chinese characteristics. Combining with the definition of institutional entrepreneurship education, the research also explores the educational target of university institutional entrepreneurship education in depth. With the study of institutional entrepreneurs’ ability structure, this research puts forward the micro targets of university institutional entrepreneurship education. Combining with the study of overall targets of university institutional entrepreneurship education, the target system is formed. Directed by the target system, the research further analyzes the teaching system of entrepreneurship education in universities, proposes the course construction methods of entrepreneurship education in the four dimensions of value, management, social work and comprehensive qualities. The research also analyzes explicit courses and implicit courses in university entrepreneurship teaching system, discusses the design ideas, principles and key content of various courses, and explores the main teaching methods and their characteristics of university institutional entrepreneurship education combined with the course content. Moreover, the research studies the assurance system of university institutional entrepreneurship education from aspects of teacher support assurance, quality assurance and environment assurance, and puts forward the systems and mechanisms to ensure the smooth implementation of the teaching activities and the real promotion of the students.After detailed analysis of university institutional entrepreneurship education pattern containing target system, teaching system and assurance system, with operational mechanism as the research object, the research discusses the decision-making, motivation, regulation mechanisms of university institutional entrepreneurship education. In the decision-making mechanism, this research mainly studies the operation procedures and construction principles of university institutional entrepreneurship education. In the motivation mechanism, this research mainly analyzes the power source of university institutional entrepreneurship education in promotion and operation on macro level and micro level, as long as it’s construction principles. In the regulation mechanism, this research mainly explores the survey evaluation and coordination as well as the targets and tasks of the regulation mechanism.The research aims to expound the concept and connotation, analyze the value and meaning, build the promotion and operation pattern, and discuss various internal and external mechanisms of university institutional entrepreneurship education in the process of promotion and operation. Here are the innovation points of this research. First of all, researcher presents a brand new research subject. The proposal of university institutional entrepreneurship education is based on the current comprehensively reform and the actual demands of economic and social transformation and upgrading of China. It is focus on the institutional entrepreneurship talents demand in the period of deepening reform and development. Because of the general existence of institutional entrepreneurial behavior in different fields and positions, and is suitable for various kinds of university students, the research solves many problems in current institutional entrepreneurship education. To begin this research with practical significance is a kind of innovation in itself. Secondly, the angles of this research are unique. In order to ensure the comprehensiveness of this research, from the perspective of institutional entrepreneurship process and ability structure of institutional entrepreneurs, combining with practical cases and research achievements of scholars in and abroad, the researcher extracts the key processes of institutional entrepreneurship as well as the ability structure of institutional entrepreneurs. Besides, the researcher starts the study of target system, teaching system and assurance system of institutional entrepreneurship education, which builds a set of feasible and operational pattern to promote and operate institutional entrepreneurship education in universities. Thirdly, various research methods are used in this research. With the use of literature research, comparative research; systematic research and other research methods, the researcher fully grasps relevant basic knowledge on the level of entrepreneurship education and institutional entrepreneurship, comprehensively compares the effectiveness of various teaching methods in institutional entrepreneurship education and systematically analyzes the targets system, teaching system and assurance system of institutional entrepreneurship education. Last but not least, researcher pays much more attention to the practical value of this research. The theoretical and practical guidance effects of the research findings in the process of promoting and operating university institutional entrepreneurship education are always emphasized in this research, and the researcher always focuses on the study of some practical operation problems such as the teaching ideas, targets, contents, methods and operation mechanisms of institutional entrepreneurship education, in order to realize the unity of the theory construction and practice exploration.
