Continuous Wave single frequency and picoseconds mid-infrared laser at 2-5 μm region are widely used in molecular spectroscopy, air pollution detection, hazardous materials detection, industrial processing, military and medical fields, etc. Innoslab amplifier is an important method to scale up the laser power for its excellent thermal management, gain and nonlinear effects. In this thesis, CW single frequency OPO and ps synchronously pumped OPO based on Innoslab amplifier and MgO:PPLN were demonstrated. The main content is as follows:1. The methods to generate MIR at 2-5μm range were introduced and the research status at home and abroad of OPO using superlattice was demonstrated, furthermore, the progress of Innoslab was depicted, too.2. The principles for slab amplifier, quasi phase match and OPO were briefly introduced.3. The CW single frequency seed laser was constructed with ring cavity pumped by fiber coupled laser diode. The beam shaping was carried out with the guidence by Gaussian Ray Bundle method and ray tracing, and the temperature distribution was calculated by finite difference method. The performace of CW single frequency Nd:YVO4 Innoslab amplifier pumped by LDA was experimentally studied.4. The picosecond seed laser was realized by Nd:YVO4/SESAM passively mode locked oscillator. The beam shaping was also guided by Gaussian Ray Bundle method. The characteristic of ps Nd:YVO4 Innoslab amplifier pumped by LDA was experimentally studied.5. The study on broadly tunable CW single frequency MgO:PPLN OPO pumped by Nd:YVO4 Innoslab was carried out.6. The ps synchronously pumped MgO:PPLN OPO based on Nd:YV04 Innoslab was experimentally studied.The study on Innoslab amplifier domestically is not sufficient and the OPO experiment work based on Innoslab amplifier is therefore rarely reported at home. The reference and promotion for domestic research in the related fields by this thesis is sincerely expected.
