All-solid-state laser combined with LD pumped solid state laser technology and nonlinear frequency conversion,with advantages of compact structure,high conversion efficiency,stable performance,are widely used in laser communications,industrial processing,spectroscopy,biomedical,military and so on.Quasi-phase-matched?QPM?technology is an important part in nonlinear frequency conversion field.Optical superlattice based on quasi-phase-matched technology with high conversion efficiency,wide bandwidth for the propagation of electromagnetic waves,and less effect of walk off is widely used in fields of nonlinear frequency conversion and solid-state laser.Through the optical superlattice nonlinear frequency conversion,visible and Infrared waves can be extended to ultraviolet and infrared waves,greatly expands the application field of solid state laser.In this paper the semiconductor laser?Laser diode,LD?were used as pump sources,Neodymium-doped(Nd3+)and ytterbium-doped(Yb3+)crystal as the laser gain medium,and based on the nonlinear effect of optical superlattice,research on 1?m dark pulse laser,intracavity frequency doubling,femtosecond supercontinuum generation and?erenkov conical emission were studied.The details are as follows:1.Principle and development of solid state laser,the laser crystal material with the wavelength at 1?m,the phase matching technology includes birefringence phase matching and quasi-phase matching,as well as the theory and design of the laser resonator cavity were introduced.2.Intracavity frequency doubling based on PPLN?Periodically Poled LiNbO3,PPLN?crystal was studied.Different output coupler was utilized to obtain high output power and laser wavelength at room temperature.The center wavelength was 529 nm with maximum output 90 mW,which are obtained by the frequency doubling of 1058 nm.3.Dark pulses were generated based on PPLN crystal.Different repetition rate of dark pulses was achieved by tuning MgO:PPLN.The maximum modulation depth was 22.3%.The dark pulses were obtained in a wide temperature bandwidth.It's the first demonstration of dark and bright pulses by using a MgO:PPLN.4.Femtosecond supercontinuum generation and?erenkov conical emission in periodically poled lithium tantalate?Periodically Poled LiTaO3,PPLT?were investigated,and a novel way of calculating the nonlinear refractive index in the filamentation using?erenkov radiation method was demonstrated.The nonlinear refractive index was about 0.024.
