With the popularization of high-speed broadband network and the support of multimedia technology, the storage, transmission and using of multimedia information resources(such as images, audios, videos and so on) have become more convenient, so as to promote the further development of multimedia resources sharing and service integration. However, the sharing multimedia resources can be illegally copied and tampered with ease which gives chance to some illegal individuals and organizations. Therefore, how to protect the intellectual property of multimedia resources and the legitimate rights of the multimedia resources providers effectively have become an urgent problem to be solved.This paper adopts digital watermarking technology as the copyright protection scheme. First, the background and significance of the thesis, the research status at home and abroad, the research methods and contents and the basic structure of this paper are introduced. Then, the application model of digital watermarking technology is analyzed in detail based on the theory of multimedia resources sharing and service integration. Moreover, the watermarking algorithms and models are designed for the application of copyright identification, content authentication and access control. At last, library, museum and archive digital rights management system(LAM-DRM) is built. The main research works of this paper are as follows:First, the analysis on the application model of digital watermarking technology. This paper divides the entire cycle of multimedia resource sharing into different processes based on the life-cycle theory. The application model of digital watermarking technology is discussed based on the requirements analysis of copyright protection, including the requirements of copyright identification in exploitation process, content authentication in transmission process and access control in using process.Second, the robust watermarking technology research on copyright identification of multimedia resources. Aiming at the problems of copyright identification in exploitation process, this part mainly discusses the robust watermarking algorithms, including the image watermarking algorithm based on wavelet packet transform, the audio watermarking algorithm based on lifting wavelet transform and the video watermark algorithm based on the original video frames. The transparency, robustness and real-time performance are verified by simulation experiments.Third, the semi-fragile watermarking technology research on content authentication of multimedia resources. Aiming at the problems of content authentication in transmission process, this part mainly discusses the semi-fragile watermarking algorithms, including the image watermarking algorithm based on wavelet transform, the audio watermarking algorithm based on Arnold scrambling and the video watermark algorithm based MPEG-4 coding. The transparency, robustness and tamper location performance are verified by simulation experiments.Fourth, the watermarking label research on access control of multimedia resources. Aiming at the lack of security and flexibility of existing access control models, this part designs the watermark and role group based access control model with context(WRGBACC),while the formal definition and characteristics of WRGBACC are introduced. Meanwhile, the work flow of the model are analyzed in detail by an application example.Fifth, the construction and realization of LAM-DRM. Aiming at the problems of existing digital rights management systems, this part mainly discusses the function requirements and operating environment of LAM-DRM. Then, the framework, protocol and database architecture of LAM-DRM are analyzed in detail. Finally, the main function modules are realized by software programming.At last, this paper draws up the contribution of the research, and we indicate the shortcomings of the research and discuss the future work.
