Part 1 Treatment of urinary calculi with ureteroscope and pneumaticlithotriptorObjective: To evaluate the treatment and curative effects of ureteral stones by the use of ureteroscope and pneumatic lithotriptor. Methods: 360 cases of ureteral stones were ureteroscopicaly treated by the use of the above mentioned lithotriptor. Results: 85%(306/360) of the stones were fragmented on one session. Complications were observed in 2.5% (9/360) cases mainly perforation and urosepsis. Conclusions: Treatment of ureteral stones with this method has been safe, effective and less invasive. The result would be better if used combined with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL).
