1. A model of cardiopulmonary bypass and pulmonary artery perfusion with protective solution in ratTo study the mechanism of lung injury and the improvement of lung function by infusion of hypothermic solution during CPB, isolated homogenic lungs were used to be oxygenator to made the model of cardiopulmonary bypass and pulmonary artery perfusion with protective solution in rat.Blood was got from common carotid artery, heart and lung were excised from donor rat to be oxygenater connected with CPB tract. Intubatton was performed in right common carotid artery and right superior caval vein in experimental rat to establish CPB. Cannulas were inserted through right ventricular outflow tract to pulmonary artery to infuse hypothermic solution.Turned off ventilator and clamped pulmonary artery while CPB began, hypothermic solution was infused into pulmonary. 0.5 hour later, relieved the clamp on pulmonary artery and turned on ventilator, continued CPB for 1 hour. Airway pressure,PaO2,SaO2 and HCT were normal during CPB. The result showed that isolated rat lung can be used to be oxygenater and pulmonary perfusion can be performed during CPB in rat.
