Objective: We investigate children who suffered in-hospital cardiopulmonary arrest(CPA) to study the influencing factors of pediatric in-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).Methods: It was a retrospective observational study. We collected patients who addmitted to Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from Jan. 1st 2012 to oct. 31 st 2014 and suffered CPA in hospital. At last, We studied a total of 281 children and collected their clinic data, including age, gender, weight, underlying disease, time of CPA happened, site of CPA, personnel factors, first cardiac rhythm, airway support, the duration of CPR, adrenaline, bicarbonate, PH, blood lactate and blood glucose. The outcome was defined as sustained return of spontaneous circulation(ROSC) more than 20 min. Finally, we used SPSS17.0 to analyse data. Outcome between different groups were compared through χ2 test. P<0.05 was considered significant. Results: A total of 281 patients met study entry criteria. In 129children(45.9%), ROSC sustained>20min. 20(8.8%) survived to hospital discharge. Heart disease, respiratory disease, sever sepsis were the mainunderlying diseases. In the univariate analysis, gender, age, weight, time of CPA happened, first cardiac rhythm had no obvious influence on the outcome. Underlying disease, site of CPA, airway support, the duration of CPR, doses of adrenaline, bicarbonate and blood glucose were associated with outcome. Conclusion: At present, the rate of successful CPR and discharge of hospital was still low. Respiratory disease had a higher survival rate than other disease.CPR>20 min were associated with poor outcome and an increase in mortality.
