BACKGROUNDAs the population ages rapidly, female urinary incontinence have been paying more attention. There are three types of urinary incontinence in women that are fairly well defined and used in survey questionnaires, stress urinary incontinence, urge urinary incontinence and mixed urinary incontinence. The prevalence rate is over 50% in postmenopausal women. Stress urinary incontinence is highly prevalent and is predominant over 50%. It is called"the cancer of social intercourse"and considered one of the five diseases effected most in late decade. The prevalence rate is different from country to country. It is a distressing and common disorder among old women. It is a symptom with widespread human and social implications, causing discomfort, shame and loss of self-confidence, and may negatively affect the quality of life. The yearly direct cost is over ten billion.Only a limited group SUI look for medical assistance.The mechanisms and the pathophysiology is dispute. The systematic and large scale epidemiological research of SUI is empty in our country. OBJECTIVES To investigate the prevalence of different types of UI in adult female of Peking through the ICIQ-FLUTS. To study the epidemiological related factors on female stress urinary incontinence.
