| Objective: To investigate the morphologic, physiochemical and anticalcification function properties and Characteristics of the polyepoxy compound-fixed bovine jugular venous conduit with valves (BJVCs).Methods : Twenty-four BJVCs were divided into three groups and treated with polyepoxy compound and bound Heparin (PC group), glutaraldehyde(GA group) and untreated group(Fresh group) respectively. Morphologic and physiochemical properties of three groups, including wall thickness, diameter, and anti-regurgitation function were studied before and after fixed. Samples of each group were taken out at various elapsed fixation periods, the fixation index were studied. The cytotoxicity of PC-fixed BJVCs and GA-fixed BJVCs was studied by seeding endothelial cells, the crosslinking characteristics including denaturation temperature, moisture content, and amino acid content of each sample were determined. Tissue stability was studied by Collagenase digestion in vitro. Then BJVCs were cut into pieces and implanted subcutaneously in weanling SD rats, After 60 days, all the rats were sacrificed and the retrieved specimens were underwent histological examination by electron microscope and microscope that stained with hematoxylin and eosin and... |
