Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic (Internal Classic for short), the earliest medical classic extant in China, summarized the medicine experience before the Han Dynasty, drew and fused ancient philosophy and natural science, macroscopically expounded relationship between the heaven, the ground and the human being, explored the most fundamental problem in medical science ---- law of life, established the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine, laid a foundation for the TCM development. Up to now, Internal Classic is still of great significance for TCM research, development and clinical practice, which is drawing more and more attention of the academic circles home and abroad.Medical schools started from Jin & Yuan Dynasty when doctors were bold in innovating and making doctrines, which improved the development of medicine and was indispensable to the attention paid to Internal Classic. Plain Questions and Miraculous Pivot published in North Song Dynasty provided convenience for studying Internal Classic which was looked up to as the standard by the doctors who applied the theory to clinical problems and also demonstrated their new treating experience and personal understanding with theories in Internal Classic which were completely and unprecedentedly integrated with clinic. For example, Liu Wansu thought six qi (six kinds of natural factors: wind, cold, summer-heat, dampness, dampness, dryness and fire) were all caused by fire on the theory of fire and heat; Zhang Zihe advocated three therapeutic methods -- diaphoresis, emesis and prugation; Li Dongyuan began relieving high fever with drugs of sweet flavor and warm nature according to the principle of warming the over-exhausted; Zhu Danxi put forward the excess of yang and deficiency of yin which derived from the theory of Internal Classic. Only a few are mentioned here. It is, therefore, of great significance to explore the interpretation and elaboration of Internal Classic by doctors of Jin & Yuan period for the study on it, schools and academic history of traditional Chinese medicine.Few monographs on Internal Classic by doctors of Jin & Yuan Dynasty came down to now, it is therefore especially important and necessary to collect and study the scattered correlative articles and books of that period. However, there has been no monographic study about the commentary and exertion on Internal Classic of doctors in Jin &Yuan and even other past dynasties, which will be made up in this thesis.This thesis aimed to collect, analyze and sum up the books of emendations, commentaries, exertions and uses on Internal Classic, and then research their characteristics, probe their value and explore their contribution to the academic study, research methods and to the developing history of TCM, meanwhile provide the collection of Internal Classic...
