Evaluation And Study On The Experiments Of Landscape Lighting With Low Luminance And Weak Contrast Based On Mesopic Vision

Considering the demand of culture, psychology, heritage protection and ecology , the landscape lighting of the Chinese classical garden and the nature reserve is arousing people's increasing interests by its rich culture, long history and the natural landscape resources.In Chinese classical garden and the nature reserve, which are objects of landscape lighting with large scale, a majority of the scene of landscape lighting is in low luminance and weak contrast, it is in the mesopic vision too. Although the research of the mesopic vision was paid more attention to by the researchers in different countries, it is rare to combine the mesopic vision theory with the landscape lighting of natural landscape and historic landscape, such as Chinese classical garden and nature reserve, in order to research the characteristic of the physiology, psychology and evaluate the landscape lighting. Under the premise of considering the characteristic of history and culture in the Chinese classical garden and the nature reserve, based on the visual characteristics and psycalogical feeling, this paper explores the experimental mode and method which are scientific and controllable in order to provide a clear concept, the quantitative and scientific method and the theoretical framework ,and then put forward reference for landscape lighting design。This research considers the visual characteristics of the object of low luminance and weak contrast based on the mesopic vision. By means of field survey, experiment observation, simulation, quantification analysis and subjective evaluation, at same time considering reverting the angle, demarcating experimental system, it deals with the method of scenes simulation and scenes reappearance in laboratory, which is in low luminance and weak contrast based on the mesopic vision, then it could obtain the physical quantity relations between the actual luminance and the projected luminance. It can also obtain a kind of mode and method with quantification and controllable feature in laboratory. In this case, taking the world culture inheritance, the Summer Palace for example, by means of subjective evaluation, it can extract the feeling factors, such as visual perception, artistic conception and expressive force, and analyze the influence of physics stimulation to those factors,and then obtain the bound of quantification. At length, it could establish the quantification relations of the physical quantity and the visual psychology feeling of landscape lighting of low luminance and weak contrast based on mesopic vision. Finally, by means of investigating the Chinese classical garden and nature reserve, considering the effect of visual characteristic, the psychology feeling, history and culture, this paper puts forward to a kind of conception of the landscape of low luminance and weak contrast based on mesopic vision creatively, and then constructs the corresponding theory of landscape lighting.
