| The problem for over-high brightness and the unbalance lighting contrast is always concerned by landscape lighting designer. It is also the basic research for landscape lighting design. I explore the method for researching proper brightness and contrast by indoor and outdoor experiment on the base that the brightness of landscape lighting is in mesopic vision .I hope this method can help further experiment. And I bring forward proper brightness and contrast in school landscape lighting by objective appraise.At first I put forward over-high brightness, contrast unbalance, the cause and the dangers of the problem. Then I advance experimental method on the analysis of these. I explore the method to reproduce the outdoor scene .I use this method reproduce outdoor scene indoor and transform photos taken outdoor by changing contrast of brightness. When we do objective appraise, we use the changed photos to find proper brightness and contrast of brightness.Reproduce the outdoor scene: to find connection between the brightness of color board projected by equal light and brightness on projector .when reproduce outdoor scene ,we consider the angle of view which effect the objective appraise. We use the principle of reverting the angle of view in A Restituting Method for Color and Visual Angle in Subjective Evaluation of Chromatic Light which written by Tan Qishan.Objective appraise: take school as example , I assort objective sense for four kinds: vision satisfaction (A),comfortable (B),environmental ambience (C),total appraise(D).According these ,to design table and do experiment to analysis mentation . And by anglicizing the data we get from table, we get the proper brightness and contrast .But for the limit data and time; we mainly emphasize the method not conclusion.At the end, I bring forward the design concept of weak contrast and dark landscape, analysis the appliance of the concept and advance the direction and emphasis of further research.
