From New Village To Small Town

"As the spring breeze comes suddenly, thousands of flowers bloom out."The footstep that the urbanization in our country is coming toward us accompanied with the big tides of the economy develops. Aimed at the enlargement of population that hard to avoid, city environment deteriorated, and the ecosystem structure destroyed, we have to provide a most perfect program, changing the separated situation of city and country in a short time, promoting construction level of the wide rural region quickly, attaining the request of socialism new village: developed producing, lenient life, civilized country, clean and neat environment, demarcated management". Among them, the difference between the big city and peripheral village region is obvious.And in the urbanization process, the big city is the corpus. It's economy, science and technology are developed, and also in civilization and progress; the small town is the point of the new urbanization stage, will be the new corpus of urbanization in the near future. Its planning and design would have decisive function to the appearance of future cities; the new village is the reinforcements of urbanization, and the population complement of cities are all come from this district. The pound of urbanization to them will be huge. These three's organic combining can guarantee the equilibrium development of social economy and city appearance.Therefore, this thesis begins from the development of new village, small town and big city, though the discuss of history, theories and mutual relationship among them, putting forward the city-country appearance design of "chain-type" control system, with socialism new village construction as a chance, "new village- small town-big city " as structure, and the strategic city design as means. Owing to the complexity of this system, on the one hand, the thesis puts forward the method of "process type" in economic management to manage the wide new village properly, making the whole design level more perfect; on the other hand, taken Peking as prototype and the structure above as frame to put forward "Big Peking (B-P) mode". There is also a bit my own viewpoint about construct-direction of the new village, orientation of the small town, and the conception of Big-Peking planning.The problems involved in this thesis certainly aren't only what Peking is facing to but also the whole country will do in the fast development. I hope this research could be one of their references.
