As an attractive and promising new-style engine, the Wankel diesel rotary engine (DRE) has such advantages as compact size, light weight, low vibration, excellent performance at high speed. All these guarantee that it is an urgent need and suitable for some critical military applications. With the rapid development of morden new diesel engine technology,the high pressure common rail injection system and diesel engine electronic control technology have become of the most important technic foundations for the development of high performance d DRE.The development of diesel engine electronic control injection system is a complicated system engineering. Now china have accumulated very little in the correlative fields. In order to implement the appropriate application of the electronic controlled high pressure common rail injection system in DRE, much innovative research and development must be accomplished. Based on extensive investigations, the dissertation chooses the high pressure comon rail injection system and fully explores its application scheme for the prototype DRE.According to the specail combustion principle of DRE, the high performance dedicated ECU is researched and developed. Its hardware platform is based on the 32 bit RISC MPC555 and the software is based on the imbeded RTOS of Osekworks. Correspondingly the ECU strategy and arithmetic are studied. Later results illustrate that, with the implementation of MAP and Fuzzy-PID control strategy, the ECU can flexible fulfill the critical real-time control on injection fuel quantity, injection time, and rail pressure.With the development progress of prototype engine in recent 2 years, the bench test and matching research are carried out by the support of ECU system.
