Research On Integrate Method Of Ship Design

This thesis is discussing the question about how to design ships in a more efficient way and how to improve the quality of the design. It is aiming at a whole new approach in ship designing management and integration by analyzing the present computer-aided ship design methods and theories through parallel engineering.The thesis analyzes in depth the present modes and methods ofship design, and studies parallel engineering. It proposes a shipdesign integration method based on PDM (Product DataManagement System),reference to the experiences in aeronautical and aerospaceindustries in home and abroad.On this base, a PDM software system is worked out, includingthe mode of organization structure, stuff popedom management, product structure collocation, task decompound, documentation management and read overmar gin alia. At the same time, considering the internationalization and localization of ship design, the mode of distributed design and calculation adopting distributed servers is realized.Through analysis of the functions and positions of PDM in designing process, this system is expanded to project management, changing it from a passive documentation management to an initiative project management.So that it can provide the designer and project manager withpowerful decision-making evidences.In view of the features of the ship industry, especially the tendency of modern ship design software development, systems are usually more deeply involved in the aspacts of ship manufacture. Therefore this system attempts to make a breakthrough in the limitation of common PDM, and has been expanded to the areas including not only ship designing, but also the management of the whole enterprise and product- related departments, in various aspects. It can help to manage the group enterprise, with product-oriented concept as the core line.As an example of a part of PDM, this thesis establishes also the integration system of introductory ship design method assisted by computer based on a standard databank. The system has been verified on both a single computer and a local area net.Through the analysis and works presented in this paper, we conclud that ship design integration base on PDM is very promising.
