| Nowadays, the market demand is becoming more and more diverse and the product class is continually increasing. It has become an urgent problem for modernized enterprises to efficiently utilize existing product data in order to avoid iterative development, shorten development cycle and improve their competition ability. Proper classification management of product data could not only simplify the search process and reduce data redundancy, but also provide good support to the design process of the product. In view of the conditions described above, the paper conducts a study to product data classification management.First of all, the paper analyzes the product data objects that need to be classified and establishes basic classification model via SML. Based on this model, assembly feature model is constructed, by which the assembly parts search process started from parts or components could be realized. The data classification management methods of standard parts, assembly parts and CAD model check are also analyzed. Besides, the paper emphasizes the integration method among classification management, PDM and CAD. By studying CAD model properties, product design process and the data structure of CAD model check, the paper provides bi-directional integration solutions between SML and CAD model property table and integration solutions between classification management and CAD model check/CAD. Based on these solutions designers could do variant design through SML and share model data check standards among different CAD platforms. The integration between classification management and PDM/CAD improves the function of classification management platform, which lays the foundation for the use of classification data.Secondly, based on the classification management platform, a series of knowledge map is constructed through studying classification data structure and system user's demand for classification data. Knowledge map could help finding out the relationships among different knowledge nodes, such as parts and components, product classes, design standards, relevant experts and so on. It can provide important reference information to data query and reuse. The customized function of knowledge map allows system user to customize certain knowledge nodes according to their personal needs, which satisfies the data demands of different users.Lastly, after the content described above, the paper studies the product design process based on classification management. The support to the design process provided by classification data and integration system is analyzed in detail. The paper proposes standard parts invoke process, parts family variant design process and parts family configure design process based on classification management. The function model of the system is established via Unified Modeling Language (UML) use case diagram. Some pivotal data sheets are also designed in the paper. |
