| Polymer blending, an important way of developing novel polymer materials, is characteristic of obtaining materials with various properties through simple process technology. In recent years, polymer blends have been applied more and more extensively in the field of tribology. Compared to single polymer materials, polymer blends show different tribological properties due to its variety of compositions and complex phase structure. However, in-depth and systematic research in this field is still insufficient. In this paper, taking polyamide (PA66)/ polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) blend and PA66/ High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) blend as research objects, the influence of composition, phase structure, solid lubricants and fibers on the mechanical and tribological properties has been researched systematically and the results showed:1. PA66/PPS and PA66/HDPE blends improved the mechanical and tribological properties compared to mono-component polymer;2. The friction coefficient of two blend systems shows the same rule, which says that the composition of blend hardly has any effect on friction coefficient and the friction coefficient and behavior of polymer blends is the same as the polymer with lower melting point or softening point. It can be explained that during sliding,... |
