The determination of microbial number is the very important research content in analytical detection of microbiology and also the very important limit detection target in food, beverage and pharmacy industries. Recently that was three main problems at home and abroad. They are the poor anti-disturbance ability, low sensitivity and low speed. According to the problems above, in the anti-disturbance mechanism research two efficient methods of eliminating preservatives on microbial detection disturbance have been established by the benzene ring dioxygenases producing from the benzoic acid degradation bacteria to degrade the benzoic acid on samples and the chemical method to shield the preservative abilities of preservatives in samples in order to make preservatives to lose efficacy. Compared with the microbial enzymatic method , the chemical method is more direct, convenient and rapid. In the deeper research it has been found that the efficient elimination of disinfectants and ozone on the serious disturbance of microbial detection could be made by suitable neutralizing and reducing reagents to decompose disinfectants and ozone in samples and make the neutralizing and reducing decomposition products detoxification.According to the anti-disturbance mechanisms, the anti-preservative index, anti-disinfectant index and their mathematical models have been designed, explored and found. That established the evaluation system of the anti-preservative disturbance ability of preservative removing reagents and the anti-disinfectant disturbance ability of disinfectant removing reagents. In the evaluation system when the anti-preservative index was controlled between 81.0-94.5 and the anti-disinfectant index was controlled between 12.0-24.5, the serious disturbance of preservatives or disinfectants on microbial detection could be well eliminated respectively. The anti-preservative index of the preservative removing reagent Illis 92.34 and the anti-disinfectant index of the disinfectant removing reagent I is 12.0. They would not inhibit bacterial and fungous growth either. When they were added to the media their primary anti—preservative index and...
