In the society of the time, the information technology develops swiftly and violently, the development of network has changed the procedures and methods of getting, transmitting, issuing, sharing, applying and visualizing spatial information, and the network application and integration with spatial information has been one of important development trends. Now, most network integration research on spatial information are based on existing platforms or applications, the research emphases is how to realize the integration and interoperation with spatial data which are existing, based on diversified platforms, distributed geographically, have multisource with different structure. In allusion to the ability that XML, GML and SVG can deal with spatial data directly or indirectly, a XML-based network integrated mode, and its overall frame and realization mechanism about spatial data without GIS platform support are put forward based on the contrast analysis with existing network integrated modes about spatial information. Based on multilayer Client/Server structure, the using of XML technology in integration is taken from data exchange between servers deep into between databases. It breaks through the restrictment of GIS softwares and their data formats, and can exchange with other integration modes, then causes that the issuing and integrating spatial data has approved versatility and openness. In allusion to the shortage of describing multi-model data by using mixed model, integrative model and primary GIS platforms, a full new model which can describe spatial information and has compatible ability of models has put forward, and been named Full Feature Model (FFM), all the objects in the real world are divided into and described as features by hierarchy and...
