Taxonomic Studies Of The Tribe Coenosiini (Diptera: Muscidae) From China

The present dissertation dealt systematically with the classification and the distribution of Coenosiini in China on the basis of the studies over 2000 specimens collected from 17 Provinces, Cities aad Municipalities of China.A brief introduction of Coenosiinae and Coenosiini is given both from worldwide and from China, the method of systematic study, economic importance and the relationships among the genera are also discussed.According to the literatures, 30 genera and 870 species, including 135 Chinese species are recorded worldwide up to now. In the present paper, 10 genera and 154 species of Coenosiini from China are listed or described and among them 19 species are described as new to science, 23 new combinations are suggested. Characters and distributions for each genus and species, keys to genera and species from China are also provided. A detailed descriptions of 19 new species, genital figures of males and redescriptions of 15 known species of Pseudocoenosia, Parvisquama, Pygophora and Coenosia are given. 112 illustrations and 173 references and brief English summary are also attached.The species described as new to science are as follows:1.
