| Objective: To discuss the healing effect and safety of modified Xiaochaihu decoction in the treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(liver-fire disturbance type),and to furnish new ideas for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.Material and method: A total of 60 outpatients of the First Department of Cardiology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was selected to Participate in the test,From September 2020 to January 2023.They Conform to the criteria for diagnosis of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(liver-fire disturbance type).Then they were randomly divided into the control group and the test group,with 30 patients in each group.All the patients were treated with metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets.On the basis of this,the test group was treated with the Modified Xiaochaihu decoction.The clinical study was Observed for 4 weeks.During the treatment,we observed and recorded the information,that included Frequency and duration of atrial fibrillation,TCM syndromes scores,atrial fibrillation effect on quality-of-life scores and ventricular rate indicators,as well as vital signs,liver and kidney functions,blood,urine,stool routine and adverse reactions,etc.Then we Statisticed and analyzed data,so as to carry out clinical efficacy evaluation and safety analysis.Results:1.Comparison of curative effects of traditional Chinese medicine The total effective rate of the control group was 70.00%,and the total effective rate of the test group was 86.67%,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the total score of TCM syndromes in both groups were significantly improved(P<0.01),and Compared with the control group,the improvement of the test group was obviously better(P<0.05).The single syndrome score of patients in both groups was significantly improved after treatment(P<0.01).In addition,the improvement of single symptoms of palpitation,chest tightness,bitter mouth and dry throat,chest and hypochondriac pain,and red-eyed tinnitus in the test group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Besides,There were also improvements in the three items of diet,dizziness,Urine yellow and constipationin the both groups,but compared with the control group,there was no statistical difference in improvement of the test group(P>0.05).2.Comparison of curative effects of western medicine After treatment,There were significant improvements of the frequency of atrial fibrillation,the duration of atrial fibrillation episodes,the Atrial fibrillation effect on quality-of-life scales and the ventricular rate indicators in the two groups(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the improvement of the test group was obviously better(P<0.05).3.Safety evaluation During the test,there was no obvious abnormality in the vital signs,physical and chemical tests and examinations of the two groups of patients.During the treatment,one patient had slight stomach discomfort and nausea in the control group,which recoveryed after adjusting the prescription and taking time.No obvious adverse reactions occurred during the treatment.Conclusion:1.Modified Xiaochaihu Decoction can obviously ameliorate the clinical syndromes of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(liver-fire disturbance type).2.Modified Xiaochaihu Decoction can obviously decrease The average frequency and duration of atrial fibrillation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(liver-fire disturbance type),effectively control the ventricular rate of patients,and obviously ameliorate the quality of life of patients.3.Modified Xiaochaihu Decoction has good safety in the cure for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(liver fire disturbance type). |
