China is a large agricultural country with a large population,and farming has always been an important part of it.Pig farming is a strategic industry in the livestock economy,and the level of pig farming development is an important indicator of the degree of agricultural development in a region.However,in rural areas of China,there are still many small farmers who maintain their family livelihood through traditional pig farming.These small farmers have small farming scale and low production technology level,and face problems in product quality and marketing.Modern agricultural farming,on the other hand,has advanced farming concepts,science and technology,feed ratios,and supervision systems that can improve production efficiency,reduce costs,and improve product quality.Therefore,the integration of traditional pig breeding small farmers with modern agriculture can realize resource sharing and complementary advantages,and promote the development of agricultural industrialization and modernization.At the same time,this integration can also promote the healthy development of the pig breeding industry and improve the social,economic and ecological benefits of the breeding industry.In recent years,the Chinese government has put forward the development strategies of "green animal husbandry" and "modern agriculture",based on which,this paper insists on the principle of joint development of various farming modes,and uses survey method and quantitative analysis to analyze the overall pig farming of small farmers in Zigong.The paper concludes that small farmers in Zigong have insufficient knowledge and skills,rising breeding costs,backward epidemic prevention and management,and poor cooperation in pig farming.In the process of promoting integration,factors such as production habits and cultural background of small farmers need to be taken into account,so it is proposed to integrate small farmers in pig farming with modern agriculture in pig farming and encourage the development of diversified models so that small farmers in pig farming can be integrated with modern agriculture in multiple dimensions.The integration of small farmers in pig farming with modern agriculture needs to be promoted in terms of policy,technology and management.The policy level should strengthen the support and support for small farmers,carry out technical training and demonstration,strengthen scientific and technological innovation to build a feed system with Chinese characteristics,and promote their transformation to modern agriculture.Promote modern farming techniques to improve the productivity and quality of smallholder farmers.Management level should promote informationization of epidemic prevention management and improve management of surrogate breeding fees.Improve their management level and professionalism to ensure the safety and quality of production.In a word,to realize the integration of pig farming small farmers and modern agriculture is an inevitable trend of China’s rural development and an important initiative to achieve sustainable agricultural development.The government,enterprises,social organizations and other parties should strengthen cooperation to jointly promote the integration of pig farming small farmers and modern agriculture,for the development of rural economy and social stability and the realization and development of corresponding policies and measures to promote the positive interaction and common development of small farmers and modern agriculture.To achieve the purpose of stabilizing the pig market,guaranteeing farmers’ own supply and increasing farmers’ income,while promoting the development of pig farming industry in Zigong City and pushing the pig farming economy to continue to develop for the better.
