ObjectiveThis study compares the different efficacy and clinical safety of Tongdu Zhengji and conventional massage,to provide a significant and safe treatment for the clinical treatment of cervicogenic headache.MethodsThe source of the cases was admitted to the Massage Department of Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medical from January to December in 2022.And we selected 70 patients with cervicogenic headache who met the diagnostic criteria. They were randomly divided into two groups. There were 35 patients in each group. We need to collect their basic information and subsequent follow-up records using a unified questionnaire. The patients in control group were treated with conventional massage(refer to the manipulation treatment of cervical spondylosis of the tenth edition textbook of Massage Science). And the patients in treatment group were treated with Tongdu Zhengji(refer to the manual treatment of cervical spondylosis in the book of Tongdu Zhengji). The patients were treated on alternate days, each treatment lasted for 30 minutes.Ten times were a course of treatment, and both groups were treated for one course.VAS score and ROM score were recorded before, after the first treatment, after 3 times, after 10 times and 1 month after treatment, and total points for headache symptoms were recorded before, after 10 times and 1 month after treatment to evaluate the efficacy.SPSS 26.0 was used to evaluate the efficacy of these two methods in the treatment of cervicogenic headache.Results1.Baseline comparison before treatment: the general indicators of the two groups, namely gender, age, course of disease,VAS score and ROM score before treatment, were evenly comparable, with no statistical difference(P> 0.05).2.Comparision of VAS score: There was a significant difference between groups before, after the first treatment, after the third treatment and after the tenth treatment(P <0.05).Scores before and after several treatment were statistically different in each group(P <0.05).3.Comparision of ROM score: The difference between groups before, after the first treatment, after three times, after ten times and a month after treatment was significant(P<0.05).Scores before and after several treatment were statistically different in each group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of total points for headache symptoms: the difference in total points before, after ten times and a month after treatment(P <0.05),and the two groups were statistically different between the three scoring nodes(P <0.05).5.Comparison of clinical efficacy: After one course of treatment,The markedly effective rate was 38.2% and total symptomatic effective rate was 88.2% in the control group. The markedly effective rate was 76.5% and total symptomatic effective rate was 97.1% in the control group. The efficacy of the two groups was analyzed and compared, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion1.Conventional massage and Tongdu Zhengji can both relieve the pain of patients with cervicogenic headache, improve cervical motion. The two treatment methods are both satisfactorily efficacy, safe and reliable.2.Tongdu Zhengji is obviously better than conventional massage, which can better improve the headache symptoms and cervical motion of patients with cervicogenic headache. It has a lower recurrence rate and a lower rebound rate, and the curative effect is more significant.3.Tongdu Zhengji is significantly effective with cervicogenic headache, low recurrence rate, safe and harmless, and is more easily accepted by patients, which deserves further research and clinical promotion. |
