Objective:To analyze the efficacy of cervical headache(CEH)with pulsed radiofrequency(PRF)treatment in C2 dorsal root ganglion, and to the factors affecting the efficacy. Methods:The general datas of 60 patients diagnosed with cervicogenic headache and treated with pulsed radiofrequency of cervical 2 dorsal root ganglion in the Department of Pain,Shanxi Bethune Hospital from May 2018 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.Visual analogue scale(VAS)scores,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)scores, cervical range of motion(ROM)score,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)score at before operation and the 3rdday,the 1stweek,the 1stmonth,the 3rdmonth and the 6thmonth after operation were used to assess changes in pain.Patients were divided into group E(excellent effect group)and group P(poor effect group)according to modified Mac Nab score at the 6thmonths after operation. Results:There were no long-term complications in 60 patients after surgery.VAS scores,PSQI scores, cervical ROM scores and SAS scores at each time point after operation were significantly lower than those before operation(P<0.05),and cervical ROM score at the 1st week after operation was higher than that the 3rdday after operation(P<0.05).PSQI score,VAS score and cervical ROM score at the 6thmonth after operation were higher than those at the 3rdmonth after surgery(P<0.05).The factors associated with the postoperative efficacy of pulse radiofrequency therapy of cervical 2 dorsal root ganglion were disease duration, unilateral and bilateral, preoperative SAS score and preoperative cervical ROM score(P<0.05).Patients with cervicogenic headache had high preoperative cervical ROM score, high preoperative SAS score, long disease duration and bilateral headache, which were risk factors for poor prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.In patients with cervicogenic headache, pulsed radiofrequency cervical 2 dorsal root ganglion can achieve good efficacy in a short term.2.Patients with high preoperative cervical ROM score, high preoperative SAS score and long course of disease, bilateral headache may lead to poor efficacy.
