Objective:Lower crossed syndrome is a common clinical disease, mainly manifested in clinical symptoms such as low back pain, limited joint movement and postural change. The limited joint movement often restricts the daily life of patients. The postural change affects the appearance of patients, and the symptoms of low back pain bring pain to patients often. At present, the clinical treatment methods for Lower crossed syndrome mainly include exercise therapy, physical therapy, traditional Chinese medicine therapy and so on.Although there are a variety of treating methods, most of them address only part of the symptoms of low back pain or are less effective. This article aims to observe the clinical effectiveness of manual therapy base on discovery of posture technique for Lower crossed syndrome.Methods:Thirty-six patients with Lower crossed syndrome in the outpatient department of rehabilitation medicine of Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University were selected, and randomly divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 18 patients in each group. The patients in the observation group were treated with manual therapy base on discovery of posture secret, and those in the control group were treated with proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation(PNF),20min in each session, one session a week, total 4 sessions.Visual analogue scale(VAS)and the Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)were performed before treatment, after the first treatment, after 4 times of treatment, and 1 month after treatment.Finger floor distance(FFD)was recorded before treatment, after the first treatment and after 4 times of treatment.Anterior pelvic tilt angle(ASIS-PSIS),Sacral slope(SS),Lumbar curve index(LCI)and the surface EMG flexion-relaxation ratio(FRR)were recorded before and after 4 times of treatment.Result:Before the treatment, there was no significant difference in VAS score,ODI score, finger floor distance, anterior pelvic tilt angle, sacral slope, lumbar curve index and the surface EMG flexion-relaxation ratio(FRR)between the two groups(P>0.05).The VAS and ODI of patients in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05)after the first treatment, after 4 times of treatment, and 1 month after the end of treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS and ODI between the two groups after the first treatment(P>0.05).The VAS and ODI of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after 4 times of treatment and 1 month after the treatment(P<0.05).After the first treatment and 4 times of treatment, the finger floor distance was lower than that before treatment(P<0.05),and the observation group was lower than control group(P<0.05).After 4 times of treatment,FRR in 2 groups was higher than that before treatment(P<0.05),and the observation group was higher than control group(P<0.05).After 4 times of treatment,ASIS-PSIS,SS and LCI of the 2 groups were lower compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),but there was no statistical significance between the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Manual therapy base on discovery of posture secret has a significant efficacy for patients with lower crossed syndrome, which can reform anterior pelvic tilt and lumbar lordosis, relax the muscles of lumbar and back, improve the range of lumbar motion, and relieve low back pain.It improves the quality of life of patients. Therefore, manual therapy base on discovery of posture secret could be widely used in the clinical treatment of patients with lower crossed syndrome to correct poor posture, improve the range of lumbar motion, and relieve low back pain. |
