The Effect Of Yishenfuyuan Decoction On Chronic Kidney Diseases

Objective: The incidence and mortality of chronic kidney diseases are increasing,and still lack of effective treatment.This research was aimed at observing the effect of Yishenfuyuan decoction on curing chronic kidney diseases in patients serum creatinine(Scr),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),cystatin C(Cys C),hemoglobin(Hb),albumin(ALB),traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome and quality of life,and analyzing its efficacy and safety.Methods: 120 CKD2-4 patients enrolled into Linyi Hospital of Chinese medicine from January 2019 to December 2019 were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to traditional TCM group and conventional group.Yishenfuyuan decoction(radix astragali 30 g,prepared rhizome of rehmannia 15 g,fructus corni 12 g,atractylis ovata 12 g,rhizome pinelliae preparata 5g,dried citrus peel 10 g,dried immature fruit of citron orange 10 g,oldenlandia diffusa 30 g,oyster 30 g,salvia miltiorrhiza 30 g,poria 30 g,eupatorium japonicum 12 g,radix et rhizoma rhei prepared with wine 10 g,angelica 15g)and routine treatment were given for TCM group.The processing of each medicinal material was in accordance with the provisions of the "National Chinese Medicine Processing Standards".All these were decocted uniformly by Chinese herb decoction room.It should be taken in the morning and in the evening and the dosage is 400 m L each day.Routine treatment were given for conventional group.For each group,patients received continuous treatment for 8 weeks.It used automatic biochemical analyzer to examine the level of Scr,BUN,Cys C,Hb,ALB and compare the results within and between groups before and after treatment.Then assess the efficiency of the renal function test index according to the change of glomerular filtration rate(GFR)and Scr.The pre-treament and post-treatment of Chinese medical syndrome and quality of life were observed to evaluate the effectivity of TCM syndrome.Use the SPSS23.0software to analyze the integral.For quantitative data compliance with the normal distribution,the paired t-test and independent sample T-test were used to analyze the innergroup and inter-group variance,respectively.Otherwise,the Wilcoxon signedrank test and Mann-Whieny U test was instead,respectively.Rank data were compared by MannWhieny U test.The qualitative data used rate to show and the comparison rate between groups used the chi-square test.Results:(1)The efficiency rate of the renal function test index in general of the TCM group was 76%,in which the efficiency rate of CKD2 was 16%,CKD3 was 34% and CKD4 was 26%.On the other hand,the efficiency rate of the renal function test index in general of the conventional group was 50%,in which the efficiency rate of CKD2 was6%,CKD3 was 24% and CKD4 was 20%.In general,the efficiency rate of the TCM group was higher than the conventional group(P<0.05)as well as the CKD3 and the CKD4.(2)As for the TCM symptom,the efficiency rate of the TCM group was 57% while the conventional group was 30%.The TCM group was much higher than the conventional group(P<0.05).(3)The level of BUN,Scr,Cys C after treatment were lower than that of conventional group,while Hb,ALB were higher.The level of BUN,Scr,Cys C in CKD 3and CKD 4 were reduced apparently comparing with the conventional group(P<0.05).The level of Hb,ALB were raised significantly in CKD 2,CKD 3 and CKD 4(P<0.05).(4)After the treatment,the integral of Chinese medical syndrome reduced with anapparent decline in TCM group than the other group(P<0.05).(5)After the treatment,the life quality score was boosted with a noticeable improvement in the TCM group than the other group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The Yishenfuyuan decoction can increase the patients’ efficiency in CKD2-4,improve renal function,raise the level of Hb and ALB,relieve clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life.
