Objective: To investigate the current situation of transition shock among intern nursing students;to analyze the influencing factors of transition shock among intern nursing students;to explore the relationship between the adversity quotient,self-efficacy,and transition shock among intern nursing students;and to clarify the mediating role of self-efficacy between the adversity quotient and transition shock among intern nursing students. To propose countermeasures for the management of clinical practice by intern nursing students and to help intern nursing students quickly complete the role transition. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 292 intern nursing students who had interned in four tertiary care hospitals in Changchun from June to December 2022 and met the criteria for nadir, and the survey was conducted using the General Information Questionnaire, the Transition Shock Evaluation Scale for Undergraduate Nursing Interns, the Adversity Negotiation Scale, and the General Self-Efficacy Scale. The data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 26.0 statistical software for data entry and statistical data analysis;the general information was described by mean ± standard deviation.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the adversity quotient,self-efficacy,and transformational shock correlation;in-depth exploration through path analysis was used to analyze the mediating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between the adversity quotient and transformational shock.Results:1.The transition shock score of intern nursing students was(55.99±8.18),and there were differences in the transition shock scores depending on whether they were student leaders, their grades in school, whether they liked the nursing profession, their relationship with their supervising teachers, their satisfaction with the internship environment, and whether they understood the concept of transition shock. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Internship nursing students scored(132.04±18.14)for their adversity quotient and(28.19±5.31)for their self-efficacy.3.The influencing factors of transition shock were whether they understood the concept of transition shock, satisfaction with the internship environment, employment intention, reasons for enrolling in the nursing program, whether they were student leaders,self-efficacy,and adversity quotient(P<0.05).4.There was a negative correlation between adversity quotient and transition shock scores and all dimensions among internship nursing students(P<0.01);positive correlation between adversity quotient and self-efficacy scores and all dimensions(P<0.01);negative correlation between self-efficacy and transition shock scores and all dimensions(P<0.01).5.The effect of the adversity quotient and transition shock was partially mediated by self-efficacy.Conclusion:1.The transition shock of intern nursing students was in the moderate to high level, the adversity quotient of intern nursing students was in the moderate level, and self-efficacy was in the moderate level.2.Understanding the concept of transition shock, satisfaction with the familiar environment, being a student leader, school performance, adversity quotient and self-efficacy were the influencing factors of transition shock.3.Adversity quotient,self-efficacy,and transition shock of intern nursing students had a correlation.Adversity quotient of intern nursing students was negatively correlated with transition shock, adversity quotient was positively correlated with self-efficacy,and self-efficacy was negatively correlated with transition shock.4.self-efficacy as a mediating variable can moderate the relationship between adversity quotient and transition shock.
