| ObjectiveThis study aims to investigate the status quo of adversity quotient,self-efficacy and job burnout of nurses in the oncology department, analyze the influencing factors of job burnout, explore the correlation between the three, and clarify the mediating role of self-efficacy between adversity quotient and job burnout.Based on the job burnout job requirement-resource model, fully explore the impact of adversity quotient and self-efficacy on job burnout, and formulate effective measures for clinical nursing managers to provide an important basis for improving job burnout of oncology nurses.Research MethodsA cross-sectional research method was used to conveniently sample 324 nurses in the oncology department of a tertiary A tumor hospital in Liaoning Province from December 2019 to December 2020 as the research subjects, using general information questionnaires, adversity consultation tables, and self-efficacy Surveys were carried out on the feeling scale and job burnout scale.Use SPSS25.0 and AMOS24.0 for data statistical analysis, mainly using statistical description, independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance,K-W test, ordinal logistic regression analysis,Pearson correlation analysis, linear regression analysis and Bootstrap method test And other methods.Results1.The incidence of job burnout among oncology nurses accounted for 78.1%,of which mild, moderate, and severe burnout accounted for 39.5% 、 32.1% and 6.5%respectively.Each dimension: emotional exhaustion score(24.68±9.696),low personal achievement score It is(15.10±8.141)and the depersonalization score is(11.23±7.558).The oncology nurse’s adversity quotient score is(119.26±17.774),the dimensions of the adversity quotient: control score is(29.51±6.037),attribution score is(29.88±4.996),extension score is(30.34±5.493),tolerance score is(29.53±5.511).The self-efficacy score of nurses in the oncology department was(27.98±5.430).2.Whether they are an only child, marital status, nature of employment, and whether they receive psychology-related training have significant differences in the overall level of oncology nurses’ job burnout, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Correlation analysis results: Adversity quotient of oncology nurses was significantly negatively correlated with job burnout(r=-0.493,P<0.01);Adversity quotient was significantly negatively correlated with emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and low personal accomplishment(r=-0.481,r=-0.406,r=-0.220;P<0.01);Oncology nurses’ job burnout was significantly negatively correlated with control, extension, attribution, and tolerance(r=-0.387,r=-0.366,r=-0.411,r=-0.428;P<0.01));Oncology nurses’ adversity quotient has a significant positive correlation with self-efficacy(r=0.425,P<0.01);Oncology nurses’ self-efficacy and control,Extension, attribution, and tolerance are all positively correlated(r=0.394,r=0.362,r=0.322,r=0.286;P<0.01);there is a significant negative correlation between oncology nurses’ self-efficacy and job burnout(r=-0.353,P<0.01);self-efficacy,depersonalization,and emotional exhaustion were significantly negatively correlated(r=-0.212,r=-0.421;P<0.01).4.Bootsrap mediating effect test results: the mediating effect of self-efficacy between adversity quotient and job burnout of oncology nurses is 14%.Conclusion1.The incidence of job burnout among nurses in the oncology department is relatively high, the adversity quotient is at a moderate level, and the self-efficacy is at a moderately higher level.2.Whether they are an only child, marital status, the nature of employment, and whether they receive psychology-related training are the influencing factors of job burnout of oncology nurses.3.Oncology nurses’ adversity quotient,self-efficacy and job burnout are correlated.Adversity quotient is positively correlated with self-efficacy,adversity quotient is negatively correlated with job burnout, and self-efficacy is negatively correlated with job burnout. It shows that adversity quotient can positively predict self-efficacy,and adversity quotient and self-efficacy can negatively predict job burnout.4.Self-efficacy has a partial mediating effect between adversity quotient and job burnout of oncology nurses.Adversity quotient can indirectly affect the job burnout of oncology nurses through self-efficacy. |
