Objective: By comparing the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of residual lower limb numbness and pain after lumbar intervertebral disc endoscopic surgery with that of conventional therapy,we analyzed the mechanism of acupuncture in the treatment of residual lower limb numbness and pain after lumbar intervertebral disc endoscopic surgery in traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine,so as to provide a theoretical basis for clinical practice. Methods: A total of 72 patients who were diagnosed with LDH in the First Treatment Area of the Orthopedic Center, the Third Clinical Hospital Affiliated to Changchun University of Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2022 and who underwent percutaneous transluminal lumbar discectomy and had numbness and pain in the lower limbs after surgery were collected in strict accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. They were randomly divided into an acupuncture group(36 cases)and a control group(36 cases). The control group was given the intravenous injection of two branches of compound three-dimensional B(II)in 5% glucose injection. The intravenous injection was conducted once a day and the intravenous injection was continued for 15 days.On the basis of the control group, rats in the experimental group were additionally treated with acupuncture(bilateral lumbosacral region(L1–S1)Jiaji(EX-B2),bilateral Shenshu(BL 23),Huantiao(ST 40)on the affected side and Weizhong(BL 40)on the affected side for 20 minutes each time, for a total of 15 days.In addition, statistical analysis was performed on the feelings and functions of the affected limbs(numbness VAS score, pain VAS score, lumbar JOA score, and ODI dysfunction index)before and 15 days after the operation. Finally, the efficacy of acupuncture for residual lower limb numbness and pain in patients with LDH after intervertebral foramen endoscopy was evaluated based on the results of the statistical analysis.Results:(1)Before treatment, the gender, age, course of disease, numbness VAS score, pain VAS score, lumbar JOA score, and ODI dysfunction index of the experimental group and the control group were not statistically significant, and the two groups of patients were comparable(P > 0.05).(2)The improvement degree of the experimental group in numbness VAS score, pain VAS score, lumbar JOA score and ODI dysfunction index is significantly superior to that of the control group, and the differences are statistically significant(P <0.05).No obvious adverse reactions were observed in the two groups during the treatment. Conclusion: Compound three-dimensional B(Ⅱ)for intravenous injection combined with acupuncture treatment and compound three-dimensional B(Ⅱ)for simple intravenous injection can both improve the symptoms of residual lower limb numbness and pain after intervertebral foramen endoscopy operation of LDH.However, the efficacy of compound three-dimensional B(Ⅱ)for intravenous injection combined with acupuncture treatment is superior to that of compound three-dimensional B(Ⅱ)for simple intravenous injection, indicating that acupuncture can improve the symptoms of residual lower limb numbness and pain after intervertebral foramen endoscopy operation of LDH. |
