Observation On The Effect Of Self-made Cold Compress Pad Combined With The Wet Compress Of Xiaozhongzhitong Decoction On Postoperative Edema Of Hemorrhoids

Objective: This study adopts the treatment method of a self-made cold compress pad combined with Xiaozhongzhitong decoction wet compress for patients with anal margin edema after hemorrhoidectomy and observes its effect on edema,pain,and safety of patients after hemorrhoidectomy.Methods: In the anorectal treatment section of Affliated Hospital to Changchun University of Chinese Medicine,72 patients with edema after hemorrhoidectomy(damp-heat injection syndrome)were randomly divided into two groups,with 36 patients in each group.The experimental group used the self-made cold compress pad combined with the wet compress of Xiaozhongzhitong decoction and the control group adopted the self-made cold compress pad combined with 10% concentrated sodium chloride wet compress dressing change,both groups started changing the dressing on the first day after the anal margin edema appeared,morning and evening 1 time,continuous treatment for48 h.The edema and pain levels of the two groups were assessed at 12 h,24h,and 48 h after the dressing change,and the overall curative impact and safety of the two groups were assessed at 48 h.Results: There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of age,gender,disease duration,number of incisions,internal hemorrhoid stage,edema score,or pain score.Edema score: There was no significant difference in edema scores between the two groups 12 hours and 24 hours after treatment;after 48 hours of treatment,the effect of reducing edema in the experimental group was better than that in the control group,and the edema scores of the two groups were significantly different(P=0.021<0.05).Pain score:There was no significant difference in pain scores between the two groups 12 hours after therapy.24 hours after treatment,the average value of the experimental group was2.52±0.41,which was significantly better than that of the control group;48 hours after treatment,the experimental group could effectively relieve pain,which was comparable to that of the control group There was a statistically significant difference(P=0.001<0.05).The total effective rate of the experimental group was 88.89%,and that of the control group was80.56%,the difference was statistically significant(P=0.006<0.05).There were no adverse reactions in the two groups during the treatment,and the safety was high.Conclusion: Self-made cold compress pad combined with the wet compress of Xiaozhongzhitong decoction can effectively relieve the edema and pain of the anal margin after hemorrhoidectomy(damp-heat syndrome),with high safety and high clinical value.
