Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Cold Urticaria With Chinese Herbal Decoction Combined With Umbilical Compress Therapy

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of self-made Chinese herbal decoction combined with umbilical compress therapy in the treatment of cold urticaria.Methods:In this study,108 outpatients who met the inclusion criteria were selected according to the order of consultation,and were divided into treatment group 1,treatment group 2 and control group by simple ranking randomization method,each group contained 36 patients.In treatment group 1,patients were taken self-made Chinese herbal decoction orally and external umbilical compress therapy.In treatment group 2,patients were treated by self-made Chinese herbal decoction.In the control group,patients were given Ebastine Tablets.The urticaria activity score 7(UAS7)and the chronic urticaria quality of life questionnaire(CU-Q2oL)were recorded on the 0±2 days,14±2 days and 28±2 days of treatment.The urticaria control test(UCT)was also recorded before and after treatment in all three groups.On the 28±2 days,the efficacy of the three groups after treatment was evaluated according to the efficacy index.Results:1.The UAS7 and UCT scores in all three groups improved significantly after treatment compared to the pre-treatment scores(p<0.05).After treatment,the UAS7 and UCT scores improved better in Treatment Group 1 and Treatment Group 2 than in the control group(p<0.05),and Treatment Group 1 was better than Treatment Group 2(p<0.05).2.There was a significant decrease in CU-Q2oL scores in all three groups after treatment compared to before treatment(p<0.05).After treatment,the degree of decrease in CU-Q2oL scores was higher in both treatment group 1 and treatment group 2 than in the control group(P<0.05),and higher in treatment group 1 than in treatment group 2(P<0.05).3.The clinical effective rate after treatment was 93.93%in the treatment group 1,79.41%in the treatment group 2 and 70.59%in the control group.When the efficacy of the three groups was compared,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The combination of Chinese herbal decoction and umbilical compress therapy in the treatment of cold urticaria can effectively improve patients’ UAS7 and UCT scores,enhance their quality of life.2.Chinese herbal decoction and umbilical compress therapy is a safe and effective method to treat cold urticaria.
