| Objective: With the continuous progress of national economy and science and technology,the demand for talents in the society is also increasing,so the society pays more and more attention to education.Colleges and universities are the main position for the country to train higher talents,and college teachers are the main force for training higher talents.College teachers play a vital role in training talents.With the continuous promotion and implementation of the "double first-class" plan of the national education department for colleges and universities,striving to build world-class colleges and universities and first-class disciplines has become the common goal of all colleges and universities in China.As the core talents of teaching and scientific research,college teachers’ various levels represent the level of colleges and universities.Whether it is a first-class university or a first-class discipline,it is inseparable from excellent scientific researchers and outstanding teaching staff,and college teachers,as the main force of both,their psychological pressure is increasing.The increase of psychological pressure of university teachers will have a certain negative impact on their teaching and scientific research.It will not only affect their own performance,but also affect the development of universities.The psychological characteristics of university teachers will also directly or indirectly affect the psychology and behavior of contemporary college students.Therefore,it is very important to analyze the degree and causes of college teachers’ psychological stress and put forward corresponding adjustment strategies according to the results of the analysis.This study selects a university teacher in Jilin Province as the research object,and carries out a comprehensive analysis and research on the collected data from three aspects of society,school and individual,actively seeking strategies to alleviate the psychological pressure of university teachers,and providing a feasible basis for promoting the physical and mental health of university teachers.Methods:(1)Using literature research method to consult the domestic and foreign literature on teachers’ mental health problems and psychological stress,and drawing lessons from the research results of domestic and foreign government departments and non-governmental organizations on college teachers’ psychological stress,it is applied to this research.(2)Using the questionnaire survey method,the teachers of a certain university were taken as the object of this survey.The questionnaire is divided into two parts.The first part is the basic information of college teachers,including gender,age,professional title,marital status,etc.The second part is the scale for testing the psychological stress of college teachers compiled by Professor Li Hua of Tsinghua University.(3)Statistical analysis is used to sort out the collected questionnaires,and then descriptive statistical analysis,reliability and validity test,independent T test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS27 are used to comprehensively analyze the data.Result:(1)A total of 319 questionnaires were collected in this survey,of which 10 were invalid and 309 were valid.The effective rate of the questionnaire was 96.87%.Among them,there were 126 male teachers,accounting for 40.78%,183 female teachers,accounting for 59.22%,and 64 people aged 30 and below,accounting for 20.71% in the questionnaire;92 people aged 31 to 35,accounting for 29.77%;91 people aged 36 to 40,accounting for 29.45%;32 people aged 41 to 45,accounting for 10.36%;14 people aged 46 to 50,accounting for 4.53%;16 people aged 50 and above,accounting for 5.18%.There are64 university teachers with the professional title of junior(teaching assistant),accounting for 20.71%;166 university teachers with intermediate titles(lecturers),accounting for53.72%;There are 67 university teachers with the professional title of Associate Senior(Associate Professor),accounting for 21.68%;There are 12 university teachers with professional titles of Zhenggao(Professor),accounting for 3.88%.112 university teachers with unmarried marital status,accounting for 36.25%;183 married university teachers,accounting for 59.22%;There are 14 others,accounting for 4.53%.36 university teachers with undergraduate degrees,accounting for 11.65%;216 university teachers with master’s degrees,accounting for 69.9%;There are 57 university teachers with doctoral degrees or above,accounting for 18.45%.(2)According to the data analysis of the valid questionnaires,the average score of the Psychological stress scale for teachers aged 40~45 years in this school is 49.231,which is much higher than that of teachers of other ages;The average score of male teachers’ Psychological stress scale is 50.669,which is far higher than that of female teachers’ 33.347;The average score of Psychological stress scale of college teachers with intermediate professional titles(lecturers)is 46.469 higher than that of college teachers with other professional titles;The average score of married college teachers on the Psychological stress scale was 46.026 higher than that of unmarried and other married teachers.(3)Through the analysis of the data obtained,the main factors affecting the Psychological stress of college teachers are: 1)humanistic factors.Gender,age,professional title,educational background,and marital status;2)Role conflict,complicated interpersonal relationship;3)Fierce competition in school;4)Heavy research pressure;5)High social expectations 6)Long working hours;7)With the development of technological networks,the sense of knowledge crisis among university teachers has intensified;8)Heavy family burden and high economic pressure;9)Students are difficult to manage and teaching pressure is high.Conclusion:(1)The college teachers in a certain school have Psychological stress,but it is generally mild.The factors such as job security,teaching security,interpersonal relationship,workload,work fun,gender,age,professional title,education background and so on all have an impact on college teachers’ Psychological stress.We can start from the above aspects and analyze the policies to alleviate teachers’ Psychological stress.(2)The coping strategies to relieve college teachers’ Psychological stress include: 1)suggesting college teachers to build a healthy lifestyle and establish one or more hobbies;2)Reasonably regulate one’s own emotions;3)Enhance sense of humor and maintain a positive psychological state;4)Colleges and universities regularly conduct a survey of Psychological stress of college teachers,so as to find out in time and intervene as soon as possible;5)Build a psychological counseling room in the school,regularly organize relevant activities,and regularly hire experienced psychological experts to give lectures at the school;6)Reform the scientific research system and professional title promotion system;7)Suggest schools to establish a humanistic management system;8)Schools provide more training opportunities;9)The education department should improve the welfare system for university teachers;10)Society clarifies the responsibilities of university teachers and does not impose high social expectations or strict requirements. |
