Clinical Observation Of Dimethyl Shamai Decoction In Treating Climacteric Syndrome Of Renal Yin Deficiency After Endocrine Therapy Of Breast Cancer

Objective: To observe the efficacy of Erjia Sha Mai Tang on menopause-like syndrome induced by endocrine therapy for breast cancer.Methods: Patients with menopausal syndrome of kidney-yin deficiency type induced by endocrine therapy who were definitely diagnosed as breast cancer from December 1,2021 to December 31,2022 in the oncology clinic and inpatient department of Guanghua Campus of Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Results: A total of 65 patients were included in this study.3 patients in the trial group were discharged due to missed visits and 2 patients in the control group were discharged due to missed visits,30 patients in each of the trial and control groups.The results of the study were as follows:(1)The two groups were significantly different above age,clinical stage of breast cancer,pathological type,hormone receptors and radiotherapy at the time of inclusion(P > 0.05)and were comparable at baseline.(2)TCM symptom scores: the test group showed better symptom improvement than the control group after treatment(P < 0.05),and the improvement of TCM symptoms was significantly better than that of the control group in terms of irritability of the five hearts,hot flashes and night sweats,dry and itchy skin,astringent and dim eyes,tinnitus,irritability and irritability or depression,dry mouth and throat,and little sleep and dreaminess,which was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In terms of the efficacy of TCM symptoms,the effective rates of the test group and the control group were 73.33% and 36.67% respectively,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(3)Kupperman symptom score: the improvement of symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the control group after treatment(P< 0.05),and the improvement of symptoms of urinary tract infection,skin ankylosis,sexual life status,insomnia,mood swings,hot flashes and sweating,suspicion,fatigue and depression in Chinese medicine was significantly better than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(4)KPS score: The improvement in quality of survival of patients in the test group was significantly better than that of the control group after treatment(P < 0.05).(5)FACT-B scale: The FACT-B scale improved better in the trial group than in the control group after treatment(P < 0.05)and was better than in the control group in terms of physical,social/family,emotional and functional status(P < 0.05).(6)Sexual triad: There was no significant difference in FSH,LH and E2 between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).(7)Tumour markers: there was no significant difference in CEA,CA125 and CA153 between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).(8)Safety indexes: there was no statistical difference in WBC,Hb,PLT,AST,ALT,BUN and SCr between the two groups of patients after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion: It is safe,effective,and worthy of continued clinical application that Erjia Shamai Tangcan alleviate the symptoms and quality of life of menopausal syndrome patients with kidney-yin insufficiency brought on by endocrine therapy for breast cancer.
