Objective:This study was conducted to observe the clinical efficacy of Baihu Yaotou acupuncture in the treatment of late menstruation with Qi stagnation and blood stasis. To provide new clinical ideas for the treatment of late menstruation by Chinese medicine.Methods:Sixty-six patients with late menstruation of qi stagnation and blood stasis type meeting the diagnostic criteria were selected as the subjects of this clinical study and randomly divided into 33 cases in the treatment group(Bai Hu Yaotou acupuncture group)and 33 cases in the control group(conventional acupuncture manipulation group),and the before and after changes in the number of days of menstrual cycle, the total score of symptoms and signs and the score of TCM symptoms were recorded in the two groups after 3 courses of treatment, respectively, and the results were analyzed using statistical methods to evaluate the efficacy differences.Results:1,comparison of efficacy: the total clinical efficiency was 90.3%(28/31)in the treatment group and 83.9%(26/31)in the control group after 3 courses of treatment, and the difference in efficacy between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),that is,the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.2.Comparison of menstrual cycle days: The number of menstrual cycle days decreased in both groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment methods of both groups could shorten the number of menstrual cycle days, and the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.3.Comparison of symptom and sign scores: the symptom and sign scores of patients in both groups were lower than before, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the differences between the two groups after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:From the clinical trial and comparative study,it can be concluded that:1.both conventional acupuncture method and Baihu Yaotou acupuncture method can treat late menstruation of qi stagnation and blood stasis type, and both treatments are effective in shortening the number of days of menstrual cycle and improving the symptoms of TCM.2.Bai Hu Yaotou acupuncture method is more effective than conventional acupuncture in improving cycle conditions and concomitant symptoms in patients with late menstruation with qi stagnation and blood stasis, and can be applied in clinical practice to enhance the therapeutic effect in patients with late menstruation.
