| Objective:By observing the clinical efficacy of Zhu Shao Zisheng Decoction in the treatment of children with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(Spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome),to expand its therapeutic advantages and to explore the therapeutic methods in the treatment course of children with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome. Methods:Using the random number table method, children were divided into a treatment group and a control group. There were 32 cases in each group and64 cases in total. The treatment group was given Zhu Shao Zisheng Decoction, while the control group was given the Shenlingbaizhusan granule orally.Patients in both groups were treated in a course of 4 weeks, for a total of one course of treatment. Before and after the treatment,VSI,IBS-SSS,TCM symptoms score and adverse reactions of patients in both groups were conducted.A follow-up visit was also conducted 2 months after the end of the treatment course to investigate the patients’ condition for recurrence rate calculation, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 24.0 software based on the clinical data collected.Results:1.During the course of treatment, one case fell off in the treatment group and two in the control group, thus a total of 61 children enrolled in the group were actually completed for clinical observation.2.Analysis of the overall effectiveness: The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.55%,that of the control group was 76.67%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Analysis of TCM symptoms: The subjects in both groups showed a decreasing trend in major symptoms, minor symptoms individually and total points, but the decrease was different, the treatment group was superior to the control in some aspects, there was a reciprocal effect between time and the group(P<0.05).And then two-by-two comparison of different treatment times showed that there was a statistical difference between each treatment time point(P<0.05),with the best treatment effect after 28 days of treatment.4.The IBS-SSS score tended to decrease in both groups, and the magn-itude of the decrease varied. When comparing between the two groups after treatment, the IBS-SSS scores of children in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.The VSI scores of patients in both groups tended to decrease, and the magnitude of the decrease was different in each group. When comparing the two groups after treatment, the VSI points of the children in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.2 months after the end of the treatment, the children in both groups were followed up,and there were 2 cases of relapse in the treatment group(6.90%);7 cases of relapse in the control group(30.43%).There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of recurrence rate at follow-up(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The improvement of symptoms and signs of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(Spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome)in children treated with Zhu Shao Zisheng Decoction is better than that in the control group.2.Zhu Shao Zisheng Decoction can improve the clinical severity of children with IBS-D,and is significantly better than the control group in terms of improvement in the degree of abdominal pain, frequency of abdominal pain, degree of abdominal distension, satisfaction with defecation and life quality of children.3.Zhu Shao Zisheng Decoction can improve the gastrointestinal specific anxiety state and reduce the visceral sensitivity index score in children with IBS-D(syndrome spleen deficiency and dampness). |
