Translation Of The Cancer Behavior Inventory-version 3.0 And Its Reliability And Validity In Patients With Gynecological Cancer

Objectives To translate and complete the cross-cultural adjustment of the Cancer Behavior Inventory-Version 3.0(CBI-V3.0),test its reliability and validity in patients with gynecological cancer,and provide a scientific evaluation tool for measuring coping self-efficacy in these people.Methods 1.Translation of the CBI-V3.0:Based on the modified Brislin translation model,after obtaining Dr.Merluzzi’s authorization,the Cancer Behavior Inventory-Version 3.0-Chinese draft I was formed according to translation,and back-translation.2.Expert Consultation:15 experts were consulted by the Delphi method,the scale was revised and improved based on the opinions of 2 rounds of expert consultation,and the Chinese version of Cancer Behavior Scale 3.0 draft II was formed.3.Preliminary survey:By convenience sampling method,30 patients with gynecological cancer were selected from the gynecology ward of a tertiary hospital in Anhui Province to fill in the CBI-V3.0-C II,which was revised and improved to form the CBI-V3.0-C test version.4.Reliability and validity test:The convenience sampling method was used to investigate the reliability and validity of the test version of CBI-V3.0 in 364 gynecological cancer patients from 6 hospitals.The reliability included Internal consistency reliability and test-retest reliability,and the validity included structure validity,content validity,and criterion-related validity.Results The Chinese version of CBI-V3.0(CBI-V3.0-C)included 26 items in 6dimensions.The item analysis showed that the differences between all items were statistically significant(P<0.001),and the correlation coefficient between each item and the total score was 0.403-0.709.6 common factors were extracted from exploratory factor analysis,the cumulative variance contribution rate was 75.972%,and the load of26 items in 6 dimensions was 0.506-0.975.The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed thatχ~2/df=2.441,IFI=0.901,TLI=0.885,CFI=0.900,and RMSEA=0.078,which met the fitting standard of the structural equation model.The I-CVI was 0.857-1.000,the S-CVI/UA was 0.846,and the S-CVI/Ave was 0.978.The criterion-related validity was 0.427(P<0.001).And the reliability analysis results indicated that Cronbach’sαcoefficient of the scale was 0.912,Cronbach’sαcoefficient of each dimension was 0.697-0.978,and the retest reliability was 0.846(P<0.001).Conclusions The CBI-V3.0-C has good reliability and validity,which can be used to evaluate the coping self-efficacy in patients with gynecological cancer.
