Background:Plantar fasciitis calcaneal pain is a common foot disease in the clinic, which is common in middle-aged and elderly people.Obesity,long-term standing workers, and limited ankle dorcaneal flexion are common risk factors for plantar fasciitis calcaneal pain. However, there is no consensus on the best treatment, and it is easy to relapse. Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave combined with kinesio tape in the treatment of plantar fasciitis calcaneal pain.At present, there is a lack of clinical controlled study of the combination of the two methods. This trial can provide a new direction and idea for the clinical treatment of plantar fasciitis type heel pain. Methods:Sixty patients with plantar fasciitis calcaneal pain who came to the Rehabilitation Medicine Department of Chengde Central Hospital from November 2021 to December 2022 were selected.According to the random number method,60 subjects were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional rehabilitation therapy, including stretching training and muscle energy technique(MET)training, while the treatment group was treated with extracorporeal shock wave therapy combined with kinesio tape therapy on the basis of conventional rehabilitation therapy. The visual analogue scale(VAS),American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Ankle and hindfoot score(AOFAS),ankle dorsiflexion range of motion and efficacy evaluation criteria for plantar fasciitis type heel pain(clinical total effective rate)were used to evaluate and analyze the degree of pain, foot and ankle motor function and clinical efficacy of the two groups before and after4 weeks of treatment. The data were carefully sorted out and statistically analyzed.Results:1.The comparison of baseline data between the two groupsAmong the 60 patients with plantar fasciitis calcaneal pain in this trial, there were no shedding and serious adverse events during the treatment. Two patients were reattached after the kinesiotape fell off,and 60 patients completed the trial. There was no significant difference in age, gender, affected side,BMI and disease duration between the two groups(P>0.05).2.The VAS scores of the two groups were compared before and after treatmentThere was no significant difference in heel pain scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment with different methods, the pain scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001),and the pain scores of the treatment group decreased more significantly, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The results showed that the combined treatment in the treatment group was better than the conventional rehabilitation treatment in the control group.3.The AOFAS scores of the two groups were compared before and after treatmentThere was no significant difference in foot and ankle motor function scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment with different methods, the AOFAS scores of the two groups showed that the foot and ankle motor function was improved compared with that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001),and the improvement of foot and ankle motor function in the treatment group was more obvious than that in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The results showed that the combined treatment in the treatment group was better than the conventional rehabilitation treatment in the control group.4.The ankle dorsiflexion range of motion was compared between the two groups before and after treatmentThere was no significant difference in ankle dorsiflexion activity between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment with different methods, the ankle dorsiflexion activity of the affected side was improved compared with that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001),and the improvement of ankle dorsiflexion activity level in the treatment group was more obvious. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Compared with the control group, the treatment group can effectively improve the ankle dorsiflexion activity of patients.5.The comparison of clinical efficacy between the two groupsThe clinical efficacy of the control group and the treatment group were86.67% and 96.67%,respectively,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better.Conclusions:1.This study found that the combination of extracorporeal shock wave and kinesio tape for patients with plantar fasciitis type heel pain can effectively relieve foot pain, improve foot and ankle motor function and ankle joint dorsiflexion activity.2.The comprehensive treatment method can significantly improve the short-term clinical efficacy of patients with plantar fasciitis type heel pain.
