Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and the best course of treatment of plantar fasciitis-heel pain with radial shock wave therapy combined with angelica and caulis decoction. Methods Collection of 60 patients with plantar fasciitis-heel pain(28 males and 32 females, aged 21-62 years, average 41.81±10.68 years),calcaneal pain were divided into three groups.Twenty patients in Danggui Jixuetong decoction treatment group(9 males and 11 females, aged 22-60 years, average 41.60±10.95 years),20 patients in shock wave treatment group(12 males and 8 females, aged 21-57 years, average 41.80±11.06 years)and 20 patients in combined treatment group(7 males,7 females,10.95 years old).Thirteen women, aged 27-62 years, with an average age of 42.05±10.57 years, were compared before and after treatment in the same group and each group.Visual analogue score(VAS)and AOFAS ankle-hind foot score system were used to evaluate the efficacy. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the basic data of the three groups(p > 0.05).In three different treatment stages, the therapeutic effect was combined treatment group > shock wave treatment group > Angelica and caulis decoction treatment group. The therapeutic effect of the three groups was positively correlated with time, but the combined treatment group could achieve significant effect as soon as possible, followed by shock wave treatment group;12 weeks after treatment, the three groups were treated. The effect was not significant in the first 8 weeks and tended to be gentle. Conclusion The VAS pain visual analogue score and AOFAS ankle-hind foot score of patients with plantar fasciitis-heel pain inflammatory heel pain have obvious changes after oral administration of angelica and caulis decoction, which shows that angelica and caulis decoction has a certain effect on patients with plantar fascial inflammatory heel pain.According to the comparison between the groups, the combined treatment group was significantly better than the shock wave treatment group and angelica and caulis decoction group in terms of curative effect and course of treatment, indicating that the combined treatment had obvious advantages over the single treatment.Angelica and caulis decoction could be used as an adjuvant drug for plantar fasciitis-heel pain, shortening the course of disease and improving the curative effect.
