Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Plantar Fasciitis With Self-Made External Washing Chinese Medicine Combined With Shock Wave Therapy

Objective:To observe the curative effect of self-made external washing Chinese medicine combined with shock wave therapy in the treatment of plantar fasciitis,and to provide effective treatment basis and plan for the plantar fasciitis.Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria,60 patients with plantar fasciitis caused by stagnation of qi and blood were selected from April 2017 to March 2019 in the department of orthopedic in Hebei Provincial traditional Chinese Medicine hospital,and 60 patients were divided into treatment group and control group,30 patients in each group by random control method.The control group was treated with shock wave therapy only,and the treatment group,added self-made Chinese medicine external washing,the course of treatment in both groups was 4 weeks.The visual analogus scale(VAS)and the foot function scale of Maryland were recorded after 4 weeks and 8 weeks.After dealing with data bystastical method,compare the clinical effect of two methods in the treatmentof planter fasciitis.Result:(1)The general data(age,sex,course of disease)of the two groups before treatment showed no significant difference(P>0.05)and comparable.(2)The VAS scorebefore treatment: the treatment group(4.30?0.88)and the control group(4.40?0.93).There was no significant difference between the two groups(P> 0.05).The VAS score after 4 weeks of treatment: in the treatment group(2.17?0.91).the control group(2.47?0.94).There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05);the VAS score after 8 weeks of treatment was statistically significant:the treatment group(1.20?0.81)and the control group(1.77?1.19).Significance(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.(3)Maryland foot function scale before treatment: treatment group(75.67?5.49),control group(74.43?5.31),there was no significant difference between the two groups(P> 0.05);Maryland foot function scale after 4 weeks of treatment,treatment group(86.43?3.63),the control group(83.50?4.62),the difference between the two groups is statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group is better than the control group;Maryland foot function scale after 8 weeks of treatment: the treatment group(91.77?3.54),the control group(87.77?6.56),the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.(4)After 8 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate of the two groups: 96.6%in the treatment group and 80.0% in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was higher than the control group.Conclusion:The chinese medicine external washing combined with shock wave treatment used in this experiment not only played the role of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis,regulating qi to relieve pain,but also played the role of shock wave therapy to improve circulation and promote the repair of damaged tissue.The combination of the two can quickly and effectively alleviate the pain of patients,and no toxic side effects,it’s worthy of clinical promotion.
