With the development of science and technology,the five-year survival rate of cancer is increasing.Cancer treatments should not be limited to the recovery of patient’s body.Moreover,the quality of patients and caregivers’ lives during the treatment should be attention.Diversified humanistic care not only improve the emotional experience of cancer patients,but also help them recover from the diseases and return to normal lives.Emotion is an important bond between space and identity,which is generated in the practical interaction between man and environment.Empirical researches on emotional geography are dominated by foreign countries at present,and researches of relative deprivation also focuses on poor groups or places where resources are unbalanced.Few scholars have explored how disease causes relative deprivation of social space from the perspective of emotional geography,and how emotion reconstructs emotional space through practical interaction to alleviate relative deprivation.In this paper,research texts were obtained through participatory observation and semi-structured interviews,and the phenomenological data Colaizzi 7-step analysis method was uesd to classify the text data based on the descriptive answers of the caregivers of cancer children.This study had explored the spatial deprivation of this group in the hospital environment phenomenon,established an analytical framework for social space deprivation and interpreted the processes and results of emotional practice under this framework.Main results are as follow:Firstly,there is a quadruple phenomenon of social space deprivation in children with cancer: 1.The relative deprivation of physical body space: It refers to the serious health loss and mental burden of cancer children and caregivers under disease treatment;2.The relative deprivation of activity Space: It refers to the limitation of physical and activity space in children and caregivers under the treatment of the disease;3.The relative deprivation of emotional space: It refers to the stigmatization and family role conflict of the group in the emotional space;4.The relative deprivation of social relationship space caused by caregivers and childhood cancer are affected by the disease.Secondly,in the context of relative deprivation of social space,children with cancer and caregivers have different emotional practice processes and results.First,they promote the development of good parent-child relationship;second,social support and emotional practice among relevant subjects;third,new identity and local attachment are formed in children,caregivers and places.Thirdly,according to the emotional practice of childhood cancer and caregivers,the internal logical connection between games,care and intimate space is explored.Game behavior and care behavior promote the benign parent-child relationship and built intimate space in this group with social support,identity between groups,the subject and environment between attachment in the process of emotional practice.Finally they obtain positive emotional experience,which will have lasting influence on care and game behavior and make the group get good medical experience.This article focuses on the phenomenon of social space deprivation and the processes and results of emotional practice in childhood cancer and caregivers during the treatment process.This research results show that under the phenomenon of social space deprivation,positive emotional practice can help improve the medical experience of this group and improve emotional value.Enhancing the deprivation of social space and strengthening the emotional links between group and group,group and place can alleviate their sense of deprivation during treatment and obtain positive emotional experiences.
