Objective:To observe the effect of "Ni Zhen" method on mood changes after sleep deprivation.On the basis of the previous study that found that the "Ni Zhen" method can effectively regulate the mood changes after sleep deprivation,the regulation effect of the "Ni Zhen" method on the mood changes after sleep deprivation is further observed by increasing the time of sleep deprivation.To provide new therapeutic ideas for clinical intervention of "Ni Zhen" method in mood-related problems caused by sleep deprivation.Methods:A total of 60 healthy adult male young volunteers were recruited from Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine according to inclusion and exclusion criteria,which were randomly divided into "Ni Zhen" group and blank group.In the "Ni Zhen" group,Baihui point,Shenmen point(bilateral)and Sanyinjiao point(bilateral)were selected,with preventive acupuncture intervention for 7 days,and the blank group did not do any intervention.Both groups of volunteers were sleep deprived for 30 h after a 7-day intervention period.During the sleep deprivation period,subjects were instructed to read or transcribe assigned books within the assigned range of motion.Participants are forbidden to drink caffeinated drinks,tea products,and alcohol,etc.during sleep deprivation,to take prescription or over-the-counter drugs,and take naps and strenuous exercise are prohibited.Relevant subjective and objective indicators were evaluated before and after sleep deprivation,and the intervention results on volunteer mood changes in different groups were analyzed.Results:1.There was no statistical significance in age,heart rate,SAS score,SDS score,PSQI score,and TPF duration between the two groups of vulunteers(P>0.05).2.The two groups of volunteers before sleep deprivation were not statistically significant in the POMS total score,PANAS score,and facial expression score(P>0.05).3.POMS(After sleep deprivation):the TMD score between "Ni Zhen" group and blank group was statistically significant(P<0.05);the TMD score in "Ni Zhen" group was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the TMD score in blank group was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.PANAS(After sleep deprivation):the positive emotion scores and negative emotion scores between "Ni Zhen" group and blank group were statistically significant(P<0.05).In "Ni Zhen" group,there was no statistical significance in the positive emotion scores(P>0.05),but there was statistical significance in the negative emotion scores(P<0.05).In blank group,there was statistical significance in the positive emotion scores(P<0.05),but there was no statistical significance in the negative emotion scores(P>0.05).5.Face Reader(After sleep deprivation):there was statistical significance between "Ni Zhen" group and blank group in the emotional values of the seven basic emotions,including happy,sad,angry,surprised,scared,disgusted and contempt expressions(P<0.05),In "Ni Zhen" group,the emotional values of sad expression have statistical significance(P<0.05),the emotional values of happy,angry,surprised,scared,disgusted and contempt expressions don’t have statistical significance(P>0.05).In blank group,the emotional values of sad,angry,surprised,scared,disgusted and contempt expressions have statistical significance(P<0.05),the emotional values of happy expression don’t have statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.After sleep deprivation,the individual’s positive emotions decrease with increased negative emotions.2."Ni Zhen" method can effectively reduce emotional fluctuations.It can maintain positive emotions and reduce the occurrence of negative emotions. |
