Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Alzheimer’s Disease With Spleen And Kidney Yang Deficiency By Huoling Yizhi Formula

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Huoling Yizhi Formula in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease with deficiency of spleen and kidney yang,and to provide TCM ideas and methods for the clinical treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.Methods: A randomized controlled trial method was used to divide 68 patients with AD of spleen and kidney yang deficiency type who met the Inclusion and exclusion criteria into a study group of 35 cases and a control group of 33 cases.The study group was treated with Huoling Yizhi Formula and Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets,while the control group was treated with Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets.The course of treatment for both groups was 3 months.Observe the changes in MMSE,Mo CA,ADL scale scores,and TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment in the two groups,and evaluate the differences between the two groups.Meanwhile,monitor adverse reactions and evaluate the safety of the drug.Results:(1)The clinical effective rate in the study group was 88.57%,while the clinical effective rate in the control group was 72.72%.Both intervention measures were effective,and the effective rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).(2)The scores of MMSE and Mo CA scales were compared between the two groups before and after treatment;After treatment,a comparison between the two groups was conducted(P<0.05),indicating that the effect of improving cognitive function in the research group was better than that in the control group.(3)The ADL scale scores of the two groups of patients before and after treatment were compared within the group;After treatment,a comparison between the two groups was conducted.(4)After treatment,comparing the changes in TCM symptom scores between the two groups,the study group was significantly better than the control group in improving symptoms of decreased intelligence,reticence,aphasia,loss of arithmetic,lack of appetite,lukewarm limbs,shortness of breath,lazy speech,sore waist and knees,and loose and thin stools(P<0.05);(5)The study group had no significant side effects during the entire treatment period,and had good safety.Conclusion(s): Huoling Yizhi Formula has significant clinical efficacy in treating Alzheimer’s disease with deficiency of spleen and kidney yang,improving the cognitive function of patients,and has high safety..
