Clinical Observation On The Efficacy Of Fire Acupuncture In The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis In The Early And Middle Stages

Objective: Knee osteoarthritis is a common degenerative disease in clinical practice,which has a long course,high treatment cost,affects daily life,and can cause disability.There is currently no optimal treatment plan for this disease.The aim of this experiment is to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Huozhen in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis in the early and middle stages,and to compare the efficacy of filiform needle treatment in improving pain,stiffness,and joint function of knee osteoarthritis.To explore the clinical efficacy of this group of acupoint selection methods in treating knee osteoarthritis,and to provide a more prominent,cost-effective,and simple treatment plan for clinical treatment of this disease.methods: A total of 60 subjects with knee osteoarthritis in the early and middle stages were included in this study.They were randomly divided into fire needle group(30 cases)and filiform needle group(30 cases).The fire needle group received health education and management and fire needle treatment,while the filiform needle group received health education and management and common acupuncture treatment;The acupoints of the two groups were Xuehai,Liangqiu,Inner Knee Eye,Outer Knee Eye,Zusanli,Yinling Spring,Yangling Spring and Ashi.The treatment was three times a week for two weeks.The safety and effectiveness of the two groups were compared before treatment,after treatment and six weeks after treatment.The efficacy evaluation indicators include VAS,Lequesne MG,WOMAC and the quantitative scoring standard of knee osteoarthritis symptom grading,among which WOMAC also compares the efficacy indicators such as joint pain,score and joint function.results: 1.There was no significant difference in age,sex and course of disease among the included subjects(P>0.05).The baseline data were the same and comparable.2.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in VAS,Lequesne MG,WOMAC and the quantitative scoring standard of knee osteoarthritis symptom grading before treatment(P>0.05),but there was statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment and six weeks after treatment(P<0.01).Compared with the filiform needle group after treatment and six weeks after treatment,the fire needle group had statistical significance(P<0.01);The difference between the fire needle group after treatment,six weeks after treatment and before treatment was statistically significant compared with the filiform needle group(P<0.01).3.In the comparison of curative effects between the two groups: in the fire acupuncture group,28 cases completed the treatment,4 cases were cured,15 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were effective,and 2 cases were ineffective,with the total effective rate of 92.9%;In the filiform needle group,28 cases were treated,1 case was cured,8 cases were markedly effective,12 cases were effective,and 7 cases were ineffective,with a total effective rate of75.0%.There was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: Both fire needle and filiform needle have therapeutic effects on early and middle stage knee osteoarthritis,but fire needle has a more significant effect on relieving knee joint pain and improving knee joint function.This group of acupoints has a significant therapeutic effect on early and middle stage knee osteoarthritis,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
