Clinical Study On Wenfei Sanjie Decoction In Treating Children’s Adenoidal Hypertrophy (Cold Coagulation Qi Resistance Type)

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of Wenfei Sanjie Decoction in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy in children,and to objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of this treatment method,so as to provide reference for the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy in children with traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsA total of 64 children with adenoidal hypertrophy were randomly divided into two groups,32 in the treatment group and 32 in the control group.The treatment group was treated with self-made Wenfei Sanjie Decoction orally,and the control group was treated with montelukast sodium chewable tablets orally combined with mometasone furoate nasal spray.The course of treatment in both groups was 4 weeks.After treatment,the changes of TCM syndrome score,adenoid volume(A/N)value score and quality of life score were observed before and after treatment,and the efficacy of TCM syndrome was evaluated.Finally,statistical analysis was performed to compare the comprehensive efficacy of the two groups.Results1.Four cases were lost in the treatment,and 60 cases were finally completed,30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group.2.TCM syndrome score : The comparison between the two groups before and after treatment showed that both P < 0.01,with significant difference.After treatment,the total score of TCM syndromes,the total score of main symptoms and the total score of secondary symptoms in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group,P < 0.01.The comparison of the improvement of each individual score was as follows : after treatment,the two groups had similar efficacy in improving single symptoms such as nasal congestion,pharyngeal discomfort,runny white or thin,irritability and irritability,P > 0.05;the treatment group was superior to the control group in terms of single symptoms such as snoring,mouth breathing,cough,repeated colds,and loose stools,P < 0.05.3.A/N value and quality of life score:compared with before treatment,P < 0.05;after treatment,the treatment group was better than the control group,P<0.05.4.Total efficacy : After treatment,the treatment group achieved clinical recovery in 1 case,markedly effective in 15 cases,effective in 11 cases,ineffective in 3 cases,the total effective rate was 90.00%;in the control group,0 cases were cured,7 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective,8 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 73.33 %.By rank sum test,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.It shows that the overall efficacy of oral Wenfei Sanjie Decoction in the treatment of children with cold coagulation and qi stagnation adenoid hypertrophy is better than that of mometasone furoate nasal spray combined with montelukast sodium chewable tablets.5.No adverse reactions occurred in both groups.ConclusionWenfei Sanjie Decoction has a good effect on adenoidal hypertrophy in children with cold coagulation and qi stagnation.It can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs of children without adverse reactions.It is safe and effective and worthy of promotion.
