Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupressure with the idea of "Pingzhi quanheng" in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy snoring in children(phlegm coag ulation and blood stasis type),and to provide new ideas and methods for clinical in tervention of this disease. Methods: The 72 cases were randomly divided into treatment and control groups by the randomized control table method.A total of 5 cases were excluded due to taking other drugs during the treatment process and loss of visits, and the actual number of completed cases was 67.The treatment group was treated with acupuncture point application, and the selection of acupuncture points was guided by the idea of equal treatment and balance;the control group was treated with montelukast sodium chewable tablets;3 weeks was a course of treatment, and a total of two courses were treated. The children’s individual and total TCM evidence points and total OSA-18 scale points were recorded before and after treatment, and the number of recurrences was followed up at one month after treatment for statistical analysis to compare the overall efficacy of the two groups.Results:1.Pre-treatment evaluation: The differences between the two groups of sick children in terms of gender, age, individual symptom scores, total scores and total scores on the OSA-18 scale were not significant(P>0.05)and were comparable before treatment.2.Post-treatment evaluation.(1)Intra-group evaluation: after two courses of treatment, the treatment group and the control group showed significant improvement in the single points of primary and secondary symptoms, the total points of TCM evidence and the total points of OSA-18 scale compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05).(2)Inter-group evaluation: after two courses of treatment, there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in terms of secondary cough and sputum(P>0.05),while the remaining points differed significantly between the two groups(P<0.05).(3)Efficacy evaluation: The actual completion of 34 cases in the treatment group, the effective rate was 88.24%;the actual completion of 33 cases in the control group, the effective rate was72.73%;by rank sum test,P=0.023(P<0.05),the difference between the two groups was significant, and the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.(4)Evaluation of recurrence rate: one month after the end of treatment, the effective cases(including cured, effective and efficient)were followed up in both groups.30 cases were followed up in the treatment group, among which one recurred, with a recurrence rate of3.33%;24 cases were followed up in the control group, with a total of five recurrences, with a recurrence rate of 20.83%;by chi-square test,P=0.042<0.05,the difference between the recurrence rates of the two groups was significant, indicating that the treatment group had better long-term efficacy than the control group.Conclusion:1.Both the treatment group and the control group are effective in treating children with snoring due to adenoid hypertrophy(phlegm-coagulation and blood stasis type),but the treatment group has better efficacy.2.The acupoint application therapy guided by the ideology of " Pingzhiquanheng " is effective in treating children with adenoid hypertrophy leading to snoring(phlegm coagulation and blood stasis),and its clinical application is relatively safe and can be further promoted.
