Clinical Study Of Modified Huanglian Wendan Decoction Combined With Donepezil On Mild Cognitive Impairment Of Phlegm-heart Attacking Internally

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Mild Cognitive Impairment of phlegm-heart attacking internally with Modified Huanglian Wendan Decoction combined with donepezil,by exploring its effectiveness and safety,it provides a new theoretical and clinical practice basis for the treatment of mild cognitive impairment.Methods: 66 patients with MCI of phlegm-heart attacking internally who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into test group(33 cases)and control group(33 cases).The test group was given oral treatment with modified Huanglian Wendan Decoction combined with donepezil,while the control group was given oral treatment with donepezil,and both groups were given continuous medication for 12 weeks.Before and after treatment,their Minimum Mental State Examination(MMSE)scores,Montreal Cognitive Assessment(Mo CA)scores,Activity of Daily Living(ADL)scores and TCM syndrome scores were recorded to observe the safety of medication use during the course of treatment and to objectively assess their clinical efficacy.Results:Four patients fell off during this trial and at the end of the treatment,a total of 62 patients completed the trial,including 32 in the test group and 30 in the control group.The results showed that the total clinical effective rate of the test group and the control group were 81.25%and 53.33% respectively,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group.Within-group comparison,the comparison before and after treatment showed that there was a statistically significant difference in MMSE,Mo CA and the TCM syndrome scores between the two groups(P<0.01).Comparison between groups: At the end of treatment,the MMSE,Mo CA and TCM syndrome scores of the test group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).No significant abnormalities were found in the safety index tests of patients in both groups during treatment.Conclusion:Modified Huanglian Wendan Decoction combined with donepezil is effective in the treatment of mild cognitive impairment of phlegm-heart attacking internally,can effectively improve patients’ mental status,cognitive function and TCM symptoms,and the effect is better than that of donepezil alone;the protocol has high safety and no significant adverse effects,and is worthy of further study and promotion.
