Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe the clinical efficacy of the treatment of IBS-D of liver depression and spleen deficiency type by using the method of bird-pecking on the Epangxian â…¡ and Epangxian â…¢combined with conventional acupuncture,and to evaluate and compare the relevant indicators before and after treatment,analyze and evaluate the feasibility and safety of the clinical application of this research method,and develop treatment ideas.Methods:60 patients from the outpatient department of the Department of Acupuncture of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine who met the inclusion criteria of this study were selected and divided into treatment group and control group by random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.The patients in the treatment group were given acupuncture at the Epangxian â…¡ and Epangxian â…¢ with the method of bird-pecking and combined with conventional acupuncture.The patients in the control group were only treated with conventional acupuncture.Both were treated continuously for 2 courses.The changes of TCM symptom score,IBS-SSS score and HADS score before and after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups,and the clinical efficacy was analyzed.Results:1.TCM symptom score:(1)Total score:The total scores of the two groups before and after the second courses of treatment was compared within the group,and the total scores of the two groups after the first course and after the second course of treatment were compared between the groups,and there were significant differences(P<0.01).(2)Single score:After one course of treatment,the improvement of abdominal pain score in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.01),the improvement of diarrhea,nerdy,irritable,and irritability scores in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05),and there was no difference in the scores of hypochondriac distension and fatigue(P>0.05).After the second courses of treatment,all aspects of the treatment group were better than the control group(P<0.05),and there were significant differences in abdominal pain score(P<0.01).2.IBS-SSS score:(1)Total score:inter-group comparison after treatment and intra-group comparison before and after treatment,the difference was significant(P<0.01);(2)Single score:There were statistical differences in each single score between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).3.HADS score:The comparison of total scores of HADS,HADS(anxiety),HADS(depression)between the two groups after treatment and the comparison of total scores of HADS before and after treatment between the two groups were significantly different(P<0.01).4.The total effective rate was 93.33%in the treatment group and 86.67%in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:The treatment of IBS-D with liver depression and spleen deficiency type by using the method of bird-pecking on the Epangxian â…¡ and Epangxian â…¢ combined with conventional acupuncture can significantly improve the clinical symptoms such as abdominal pain,diarrhea and anorexia,relieve depression,anxiety and other adverse emotional states,improve the quality of life,and is safe and effective without adverse reactions.
