| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of combined umbilical moxibustion and acupuncture versus acupuncture alone in treating the depressive state of perimenopausal syndrome of kidney deficiency and liver depression type. Methods:Seventy patients conforming to the depression status of perimenopausal syndrome of kidney deficiency liver depression type were randomly divided into umbilical moxibustion combined with acupuncture group(treatment group)versus acupuncture group(control group),with 35 cases in each group.During the course of treatment, there were 3 shedding cases in the treatment group and 3 in the control group,32 cases were finally included in the actual treatment group and 32 in the control group. After the treatment, the data of the corresponding observation tables filled in before and after the treatment of the two groups were analyzed to compare the difference in efficacy two sets of figures.Results:1、After the treatment, the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group(P<0.05).2、After treatment,in terms of the general score of TCM symptoms, both groups were prominent lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).In terms of TCM single item symptom scores, both groups were prominent lower before treatment in terms of "mental depression"、"low back and knee soreness"、"flatulence of breasts"、"hot night sweats"、"impatience with five hearts"、"dryness of mouth and throat"、"good and too much rest"、"flank pain",but the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving "mental depression"、"flatulence of breasts"、"good and too much rest" and "flank pain" "(P<0.05);It was not significantly different(P>0.05)in improving "hot night sweats"、"restless heart"、"dry mouth and throat"、"sore mouth"、"chest tightness".3、The hamd-17-item depression subscale scores of both groups were reduced after treatment(P<0.05)in contrast to those before treatment, and the treatment group was superior in reducing the hamd-17-item depression subscale scores(P<0.05).4、The total score of the modified Kupperman rating scale in both groups was decreased after treatment compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Umbilical moxibustion combined with acupuncture was more curative effect.than acupuncture alone in treating depression status of perimenopausal syndrome;Umbilical moxibustion combined with acupuncture had different degrees of ameliorating effects on other symptoms in perimenopausal period while improving depression status. |
